Description
Here's the corrected version of my attempt at a playful Halloween scene without splatters, disembowelments, or teenagers ripped to shreds in the heat of passion...
Darkened it up a little bit and added a few props I left out on account of time and impatience. Still kept the sunset lighting.

it all comes down to personal preference, of course, but I think I prefer the previous version as I remember it as having a warmer feel, the white paintwork in this seems a wee bit colder as though we've gone from sunset to rise and she is now kicking me out of the place without breakfast — I think my drink was spiked :)

Might be right Paul regarding light but I had to see what the original idea would look like. Probably could have added the props and cut back a little on the interior Tiffany lamp to call it a day. Pink tone on the white paint is from the sunset light...
Ran a second image as 'editing' the previous post took forever to show...

Hmm. Tough. I struggle with this sort of challenging light, as well. While this may be a bit more realistic, the other one was a more effective image to my eye. What I enjoyed about the pumpkins is more obvious here but what I liked about the feeling of warmth in the room behind her contrasting with the darkness outside is a bit diminished and it's harder to make her out. I am with Paul it that I preferred the previous image but this one is OK. So many choices to make and bits to emphasize in an interesting image!

Thanks Molly - think you and Paul are right. I tend to shoot for realism more than art and sometimes miss both targets...

Your new graphic looks fantastic as always, as do all the others, unfortunately I can't manage to comment on them all and hope for your understanding!
