BIO I'm an illustrator, and for the last 15 years I have been doing almost exclusively digital work--mostly covers for e-books and small presses; fantasy, SF and Paranormal Romance covers are my specialty. I useΒ Poser, Photoshop and Painter, and a nifty little paint program called ArtRage. I have been lucky enough to have work shown on the BBC's The Sky at Night, done promotional artwork for the Hugos, and have digital art tutorials published in Michael Burn's Femme Digitale and Digital SciFi Art (Watson-Guptill 2004) as well as DVD covers, cd covers and e-book covers, most recently for Liquid Silver Books, Edge/Tesseract and Dragon Moon Press.Β I'm also a member of the International Association of Astronomical Artists.Β . When I have time, I do acrylic paintings for fun.
Commissions: I do 3d texturing and backgrounds now rather than book covers, and I do appreciate a good UV template to work on. Thanks for checking out my bio!

Yes! It is such a sad development when the characters after M4 and V4 were created mostly for DAZ studio with no thought as to the many loyal customers using Poser. I being one of them. I have tried DAZ studio several times over the years and have always been way too frustrated at all its quirks and idiosyncrasies. Not that Poser doesn't have just as many. But Poser was what I started out with and I have stuck with it. But now, I have reached the end of even Poser for me. I have version 11 but quit using it last year because I found it too unstable for my uses and have no plan to migrate to version 12. I am using Poser Pro 2014 for my endgame and hope it last me for the rest of my days. At least it does everything I ask it to without too much complaint and only a very few glitches from time to time but they are usually caused by my own carelessness. LOL. Oh, and by the way, a very lovely image here! I love the look of both character and the charming way you display them. Sorry for my long comment. Sometimes I scare myself with the way I can ramble on. LOL.

I have come to really like Poser 12 because its FAST and I like Superfly and the way it handles metal and shiny things. It's less friendly to skin so Firefly may still be your renderer of choice. But the morph tool works really well in P12! Clothes can be bent to ones will now, and hair, and a lot of other things. And did I mention fast on my cruddy costco computer ? hehe! I love your rambles!

wonderful seasonal render and composition

Thank you so much! I think that nice wreath was a freebie, too!

Wonderful image! And I also think itβs sad DAZ no longer supports Poser as many Poser users have been loyal DAZ customers.
lwperkins
I completely agree--I think this feud that Daz is carrying on with Poser is not helpful to themselves or their customers. They would sell twice the volume if they supported the Poser platform; Poser does some things easily that DS does not, like fluid posing and compliant lighting. A few small adjustments would make the Genesis figures run just fine in Poser.

What a delightful scene with Jenny's newest cyber-doll! I love it, Lynn!
Although I do want to get DAZ up and running again, I'm kind of the same mind as Bill (Radar_rad-dude) with DAZ. I bought a computer (back before I retired) specifically to use with DS. It has a killer GPU (RTX2080ti), and when everything worked it smoked iRay renders. After about 4 months, DAZ decided it didn't want to work anymore on that machine - I kept getting SQL errors whatever that means - and have never been able to get it working no matter what I try. My bud Jay Versluis (The WP_Guru) suggested there was probably something buried in the entrails of Windows somewhere that was causing the issues, and the best thing to do was just wipe the C: Drive (It's a tiny 230GB SSD), and do a fresh install of Windows. Which is probably what I'll do - when I get around to it. But I'll probably use the 2TB SSD I installed as a second drive in that machine.
I have Poser 11.3 (the Bondware edition) on my Origin laptop, and so far it's working pretty smoothly. I'll likely be putting P-12 on it soon (won it in a contest here a while ago). I have PP2014 on my main Poser machine. Even with P-11, I almost exclusively use Firefly. It can take a while to render some of those TNA scenes with a dozen or so characters and their clothing/props, but it doesn't seem to choke on them very often.
Several of the TNA crew are Jenny's gals! I think I have every V4 character she ever created - they're all so lovely. She and Rob are an amazing team!

I will say the newest build of DS seems better, for one thing, all the content that I couldn't find suddenly reappeared :D But it is slow compared to Poser; poser has always been the speedy option for me. I love Jenny and Rob's characters, I have many many of them, and more on storage things; I like her standalone morphs too! And thank you!!
