Description

After watching just one YouTube tutorial I had to try this. My method is slightly different to the one in the tutorial but still uses most of the same Geometry Nodes in Blender 3.0.0. This has no textures as it was just an experiment to learn the techniques, but I do have ideas about how to use this technique for a rather nice bit of animation. Learning animation is fun and there are at least a million Blender tutorials on YouTube and Oddysee. It's a fun adventure and this took less than an hour to make including rendering. Instead of using Blender's Cycles as I usually do I used the Eevee renderer, also built into Blender. Rendering time averaged about four seconds per frame.

That's pretty cool! And it grows at about the same rate as the grass in my yard in the summer! LOL

Thanks!

You might want to consider one of those robot mowers that just wander around cutting grass until they need charging or the grass is done. If they need to charge they go to the charge point and charge themselves, so you don't even need to do that for them. Those and robot vacuum cleaners are rather good now unless you have small kids in the house. In a few years they will be able to cope with kids too...
