Navarre returned to his quarters; to attend to the quick task of putting a data disc together on his ships registry. There wasn't a lot of information to download, just the basic data. He smiled to himself; a memory seemed to drift gently to the front of his mind. It had been something taught to him by his Mother. Swiveling his chair about he stared out the window in the vast darkness of space. Many believed it was just an endless silence; empty and cold. He closed his eyes and settled back into the chair. It wasn't something that he could hear, but he did have instruments to do that, yet, he felt it. Like an orchestra of sounds blending together in a calming, tranquil music that passed through him with soothing tones. Space was cold, but it was not empty; there was life in every direction. Space was quiet; but it was not devoid of sounds, one just needed to know how to listen. Duties. He thought to himself after several minutes.
