"You might say I'm a dreamer"
I have loved photography since I was a child and also love graphic art (I am the kind of person that WILL buy a book or CD for its cover) but sadly I only became aware of 3D art after crossing paths with Dragonluna. I immediately fell in love with her work and after a while decided to give it try, mostly because I wanted to make pics to go along with a fanfic I was writing. I am neither a writer nor a 3D artist, I just like to daydream and have ideas and fantasies, and I love anything that has to do with visual art. I am still very limited with the program and have loads to learn and I am also quite fearful of posting my pics considering the high quality of the renders on this site, but I guess we all have to start somewhere and this is where I start, sharing my fantasies with you. Thank you for the taking the time to look at my work. :)

Always tricky to rely entirely on expression and lighting as you have done here. I must say I think you nailed it, though. I like the slight squint, in particular. Thank you for sharing your work!

Thank you so much Molly, you just made my day with this comment. Expressions and lighting are what I spend the most time on, even in renders where the characters aren't up close. But in these portraits they are the main focus. In this one in particular the squint was everything, I'm glad you noticed. I also decided I wanted to add some postwork to this one (something I've been doing more often recently). I still like the original, but I think the postwork adds a little more "edge" and intensity to his expression. Thanks again, it's always a pleasure to discuss details with you.

Men's beards are attractive. Beautiful render!

I agree, I am a big fan of facial hair myself, and there are very few cases where I prefer men without. That's what I like most in this version with the postwork, not only does his expression seem to be more intense but his beard and tatto seem to stand out more too.
Thank you so much for your feedback!

I adore the squirty eyes too! And the darker tones, so intense! Wonderful also the inspirational photo, gorgeous overall, like you always do!

Thanks again, you know how I feel about Rodrigo <3 I am glad if I can do him justice. And I worked a LOT on those squinty eyes, way more than I probably should have, lol!

If I had to vote, I'd vote for this one...the guy looks tougher...but both images are amazing.

Thanks again gaius! :)

Love the intense and moody expression! I wish I knew why inspiration is so fickle, or at least how to entice it to come back. Mine flew away for over a year, but I think I recently heard it rattling around in the attic :-)
RubyTuesday70
It really is fickle isn't it? Ugh! I am glad yours is rattling again, you always put together such whimsical and detailed scenes!!!Thank you so much for your feedback!
