Description

Hi everyone. Still playing with volumetrics with my brand-new toy Bryce5 :) *** This one was inspired by the wonderful Beethoven choral piece (hence the title). The sky was made following the tutorial by roobol. Postwork done in Phothoshop. The GreekShip model is a freebie by Greg Crowfoot (Greylight Multimedia, http://www.greylight.com). *** Hope you like it, thanx for stopping by. Any comments and/or criticism more than welcome.

Sky looks awesome DC. Really like the warm feeling of this image. The volumetrics I think need a little touching up- they seem like they have just the surface of whatever object you used matted rather than the whole volume-imho.

You're right, Masema. I need to improve the quality/speed setting towards quality, overcoming my fear of eons-rendertimes on my Old One! :) Thanx for the useful comment.

Thanx a lot for all the nice comments on this! --- @Calanthe: you're right, the guy on the ship is off-scale and has the standard Poser model pose (bleah), but when I realized it the image had just finished its 2 days render and I simply didn't have the courage to re-render it. :)

Liquid gold sea and an atmosphere laden with golden dust motes! I am very susceptible to anything with a yearning ambience and this has it! It's years since I listened to this particular work, so that is something to look forward to this evening...."Still ist mein Herz und harret seiner Stunde!"...Der Abschied: Gustave Mahler......if you care to view http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=91185&Start=49&Artist=Brendan&ByArtist=Yes -this image was inspired by the first movement of the Scottish FantasyOp46... by Max Bruch ( I wonder if you know it? ).... I need a glass of wine a cigarette now!.... Cheers mister!
