Description
this wonderful dog belonged to my mother and family. she lived 17 to 18 years. she had so many tumors, that my sister took her to be euthanized.
people that lived across the street had dog that lived 20 years chained up to it's dog house. I never seen them pet it. they only changed the water and gave it food. the dog was very aggressive from not having any love

What a cute dog! I just don't understand why anybody would have a dog and not want to play with it or show it any love.

Very nice dog. I think 17 to 18 years with love is 10 times longer life span than 20 years without love. Actually I'm sure about that.

She looks like a really sweet dog. We had one that looked a lot like this when I was very young.
I've never understood why people get a dog as a pet, then just chain it up outside and never give it the time of day. Stupid and cruel...

Penny is beautiful. Agreeing with Mifdesign: her 17-18 years of love was much longer and better than that other dog got with 20 years of abuse.

I agree with your fans, to treat a dog like that is awful. Dogs are family, how could people treat them that way? Beautiful that your mom and her family had this beautiful dog for that long. Must have ha a very loving life. And I love the black spot over one eye---right out of The Little Rascals...

A sweet photo. People shouldn't have pets if they don't 'really' want them.

Poor old thing, she very much resembles my dog Duck. He's dumb as mud but loves everyone.

When you take on a pet like a dog, think of it as a lifetime commit. If that seems a bit too much, then you are not ready. Dogs are pack animals and they need the security of the pack to thrive. That means you as the pack leader are 100% responsible for their adaptation into the family heirarchy. It is hugely advantageous that you learn dog pyschology 101 before you ever bring this loyal and wonderful member into your world and your family.
