Description
(Thought I’d give y’all a break from snowy scenes!)
At long last, after years of hard work, Utla has finally achieved the precise combination of ingredients needed to produce the potion that will be her greatest contribution to humankind! What do you suppose it does?
==AMY’S NOTES==
Some sets I would gladly pay (more) money for if I could get back the hours of my life I spent trying to make them work (and failing). And other sets I would gladly pay full price for, several times over, for how much of a joy they are to work with. Faveral’s amazing Opus Magnum set is one of the latter. You can literally load the scene, with its whopping 250 props, load its lights, and render, and it’ll be good. Damn! I kinda regret that I got this at some ridiculous discount b/c Faveral deserves all the $$!
Granted, I did adjust all the lights’ settings for this scene. But that was after doing a bunch of "inventory renders" with the default light set, all of which looked great.
Rendered in February 2022 using Firefly in Poser Pro 11 for Mac at 3200 × 1800 pixels. View full size on my blog.

A great looking scene! and I would have to agree that there are a few programs I use that are worth every penny I paid for them. some I would have liked if they would have came out sooner! but there are a one or two that to this date I haven't been able to get them... too expensive, or for some reason they won't except my card.
super work, and thanks for the comment!

This is a very special and well done looking image, I wish you a lovely Sunday evening and a good start into the new week!
PS. Unfortunately we lost touch because of my illness, but now I'm able to write comments again after a long time.
perpetualrevision
Thank you, Ute! I'm sorry to hear about your illness, but I'm glad you're back to commenting! I was away for a while too, and it's been fun to catch up :-)

Ohhhh I love this one!!! Everything is just so perfect!
MollyFootman
I have to agree that this is just so perfect! The pose, expression and composition as well as execution: so clear and plausibly lit! I love it. As for what has been discovered? Perhaps a cure for social media? XD

Thank you for the comment, Molly! The lighting is thanks to the magic of inverse square and inverse linear point lights in Firefly. I didn't even use IDL, just a good old fashioned IBL light. A cure for social media, eh? That would depend on which specific ailment you want to treat, I suppose! It's possible we'll never know what Utla's momentous achievement actually does, which does bring its momentousness into question just a bit :-)

I have to agree that this is wonderfully done! A way to eliminate Covid would be a very welcome potion!
perpetualrevision
Thank you for such a nice comment! A way to eliminate Covid would indeed be a very useful potion. But I fear Utla may be hoping this one will help her grow a fifth finger ;-)
poser4me
This is a fine scene and nice lighting to boot. As far as a potion for me, if only i knew then what i know now. :-)
perpetualrevision
Ah yes, the wisdom and time travel potion! Many have sought for it, few have found it... Thanks for the comment!
CoolDimension
Fantastic posing, lighting and scene!
perpetualrevision
Thank you so much for the comment! As I told Molly, the lighting is the result of inverse linear and inverse square point lights and a good old fashioned IBL image, rendered in Firefly w/o IDL enabled. Guess I like it old school :-)
eekdog
Bravo, so wonderful.
Krid
..great scene and excellent details
perpetualrevision
Thank you for the comment! The credit for all those details really goes to Faveral. It's an amazing set!
dragongirl
What an impressive workplace she has. An image with lots of story in there!!
perpetualrevision
The credit for her workplace all goes to Faveral! I still can't believe this set includes 250 props!! The storytelling possibilities are many just with the set the way it loads, but if you re-arrange them, the possibilities are endless! Thanks for the comment :-)

Love all the little details

Super cute. Love the setting and details

She is so cute this Utla. The creation is also very nice with all these beautiful details. It has become very beautiful.
perpetualrevision
Thank you for the comment! Utla is adorable and much more versatile than I'd at first imagined!
Axeye
Wonderful art!
perpetualrevision
Thank you! I've enjoyed looking at yours as well, esp. "Are We Lost," but apparently I can't leave a comment. So.... what a fun scene!
Radar_rad-dude
A most fascinating character and product! You display it very well here! Much enjoyment ensues! Bravo!

Hope its a potion to help forgetfulness, the number of times I get to the top of the stairs and have forgotten the reason. Very enjoyable scene.
perpetualrevision
Ha! I could use that one as well! If only I could remember why... :-) Thank you for the comment!
mazzam
Excellent scene.

oh my, I absolutely LOVE this scene, Utla is just one of my favorite Nursoda characters and you really did her justice here (same for Faveral's set, it really does look amazing ad I love hearing that it's such a joy to work with). Wonderful work here. I purchased quite a few of them but I still have not put them to good use, I've always enjoyed the images you make with them.
perpetualrevision
Thank you for the kind comment! It's possible I wouldn't have been quite so annoyed at that kitchen in my other render if I hadn't just been working with such a delightful prop set as this one! This one loads with 250 separate props, so you can hide, move, or scale anything you like! I have quite a few sets by Faveral and I love them all, but this one is indeed his magnum opus!
MajinBoo
Amazing all that literally went into making this highly detailed scene! Me I would want a potion for anxiety (not just for mine).

I'm also a huge fan of this set and haven't used it half as much as it deserves, and this work ... ok, I loved Utla already from her appearances in others' renders but this series (including the scenes with apprentices) really suggested even more stories for her.
