Description
The impaler.
Molly's art notes: I don't usually go in for this sort of thing but the callous invasion of Ukraine is on my mind. This, as with most of my recent art, was set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.757. Vlad is based on DAZ M4 with some morphs and textures available at Share CG. The horrors of military action involve props by AppleJack, Cybertenko, Vanishing Point, ShaaraMuse and others.
I hope you will forgive me for this negative but strongly felt image.

There is so much going on in Africa and the Middle East and now this. The people of the Ukraine are trying to resist and my heart goes out to them. Thank you for the comment, my dear.

We apparently live in an era of powerful bullies, who confuse their rough-and-ready and intimidating tactics with statesmanship. Having aided his dictator pals in Syria and annexed the Crimea, the greatest leader since Peter the Great is on to another conquest to restore Russian prestige and greatness on the world stage.

Nicely done image, sure just like you, me and many other's that feel frustrated and angry but powerless to do anything about the situation.. hopefully the Ukraine will over come the opposing forces....

Thank you for sharing that sentiment, RT. I'd add that I feel bad for the families of Russian soldiers who are killed or wounded. No matter the outcome there are so many who are hurt by War. The guys who drive such conflict aren't usually the ones who pay such a cruel price. It can't end well as the killing has begun but I agree that there is hope it can end soon.

Nicely done work on this pathetic piece of human garbage, Molly. His unforgivable crimes against humanity are on many minds, and we have to hope that his continuing insanity doesn't result in a wider conflict. Expressing our feelings about this or anything else is what art is about. No apologies needed.

great special effects and composition, and although you don't go in for political commentaries of this type, Molly, it successfully makes you think what on earth is going on inside that head... were too many years spent playing with model aeroplanes and wee toy soldiers... one wonders...

I've always felt Vlad was thuggish but until now I'd viewed him as rational. I am now worried he is not. I also don't understand this war of choice... :(

Thank you, my dear. I try not to let my emotions rule me too greatly but this unwarranted attack on a sovereign European country where there's been mostly peace for 70 years really bothered me and I had to get it out of my system. Hard to know where the idea came from... ;-\

Vlad The Mad has single-handedly ruined the lives of millions of people by behaving like a primitive barbarian from ancient times, and in the process he's exposed how just weak and feeble the rest of the world's modern leadership really is. This should be a wake-up call for Western Civilization. Since this invasion that same "leadership" has also allowed the Iranian regime to build a nuclear weapon. So you have nothing to apologize for when making a public statement about this shameful and dangerous state of affairs.
