Description
"OOOoooh! All the shiny is gold, yes?" the Cat Girl marveled.
"Hem. Aye. All what glitters 'ere is gold." The dwarf grimaced. "Serprized it were so easy ter get to it."
"We can just help ourselves!" she delightedly stated. "Did you just hear something?"
Behind them, a large iron figure that they had taken to be a statue began to move toward them.
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.757 with Superfly Cycles 2 and tweaked in Photoshop for a bit of glow and vignette. The catgirl is A3 using some very old material from DAZ I was reminded of recently by Mazzam. The textures haven't aged well and I messed with them to try to give the impression of fur rather than plastic (the hair was the worst >.<). The Dwarf and the Iron Golem are by Sixus1 and are available at Renderosity. The setting is by Cybertenko, also available at Renderosity. I used the volumetric prop by Afrodite-Ohki to add a slight mist; I find it easier to manipulate and render than Poser's intrinsic atmosphere.
When I saw Mazzam's recent picture of the catgirl I thought, "Ah! The perfect specimen for teh Mollz to try a CUTE picture". Sadly, this hairball is what I coughed up. :\ I may be congenitally unable to do "cute"...

An odd couple, indeed! They better grab the shiny and split fast, before the "statue" registers its protest to their presence! Fun scene :-) I don't think I've ever used the Dwarves figure in a render, but he looks great here in that outfit!

Thanks, Amy. This is the first time I've used the Dwarvez figures and I'm again saddened that Sixus1 has moved on from Poser. I think I've got everything he ever released although much of it has yet to find away into one of my images.

Heh. She IS cute, no doubt. Thing is, I can't seem to get immersed in the cuteness and wind up inserting her into a dark fantasy scene... >.<

Wonderful scene!!! Great job on the textures. The lighting is just perfect for this scene. Her expression is the best!!!

Oooh! Thank you Kellie. Your wonderful toon/fantasy images is what got me started on this picture with Kitty Girl my intended vessel of cuteness. Sadly I got derailed into a dark fantasy peril image but I feel a lot better about it if you think it's effective. Maybe I need to plunge in and try some more "toonish" characters than I have here? :-/

I'm very glad you enjoyed it enough to comment, Rod. I did have a lot of fun working on it and was cackling like a maniac when I did the first test renders. I'm starting to think I may need to another picture or two featuring this odd couple. =)
