with a 158 mph tail wind!. the majority were destroyed landing, but awesome that the ones that landed safely turned the battle in favor of having freedom from Hitler. more than 13,000 were made of the US version, and Silent Wings Museum is recreating one identical to the original design. England's was different from the US version

wow, what a history. The majority were destroyed landing? That's a heavy history. And what a melange of metal bars and dials and instructions. The steering wheels seem attached to a set of pulleys. It's such a complicated interior. Thanks for posting this.
