Description
Telka knew I was having trouble figuring out how to do portraits against a background image, so she paused in her woodland journey to help me out.
==AMY’S NOTES==
I don’t actually know what kind of being Telka is, but forest elf will do!
It kinda looks like she’s wearing leggings, but that’s actually a hybrid skirt I made for her to wear under her "leafy" skirt.
I chose this render size b/c it matches the background I used, but of course I realized later that wasn’t strictly necessary :-)
Rendered in February 2022 using Firefly in Poser Pro 11 for Mac at 2400 × 2080 pixels. View full size on my blog.
==CREDITS==
SCENE: Flink’s Tree 8; background image from SV's Fairywood Backgrounds.
CHARACTER: Telka figure and outfit by Nursoda, with jacket, skirt, and skin textures by me; April YSH Aoife hair for V4.

I like the idea of a Forest Elf & I like this character!
You've really done a great job on this! Everything works perfectly together!

Thank you so much! I think technically the lighting should've come from the other direction, given where it's coming from in the background image, but I'll chalk that up to "artistic portrait license" :-)

Wonderful work with her. You made her look so lovely :) She totally fits with this background.

Thank you for the comment! I like Telka a lot and was kind of surprised to find her even a little beautiful with a different skin texture and hair. (I love her original skin too, but I also like that she can be more versatile than that :-)
A_Sunbeam
Nicely done, and a very different Telka!
perpetualrevision
Yes, she is! What a difference a skin texture and hair can make :-) Thanks for the comment!

She one very elegant elf. Nice work

Thank you. I thought she looked kinda elegant, with a different skin and hair. Actually even Kali would probably look more elegant with that hair :-)

I don't think of Nursoda's characters as beautiful; more like imbued with interesting character. You've reached a little past what I have seen before here. She is beautiful in a non-traditional and compelling way due, I think, mostly to your posing and work with her expression. The background is fine, but the character is what makes this a picture I enjoyed viewing.

Thank you for your insightful comments, Molly! I think the posing and expression are definitely part of it, but what makes the biggest difference, I think, is the skin texture. And the different hair. Don't get me wrong, I love Nursoda's original "perfectly imperfect" skin texture and hair for her. But once I started making custom skins for Nursoda figures, I saw a whole new range of possibilities in the figures! I'm no texture artist, but with a little Photoshop savvy applied to some resources originally for V4, I've gotten some interesting results :-)

Those are some amazing ears on your super elf character.

Even from deep within the forest, she heard you say that :-) Thanks for the comment!
