Description

In my eyes, NATO, the UN and the EU have once again failed miserably because they are all afraid of a nuclear debacle and now we are facing a never-ending war in Ukraine that will be littered with the death and blood of innocent people. Ukraine is already a huge shambles where no one can live. Putin is a cornered rat who would probably never press the red button, because that would also be the downfall of his own country. PS. Without help Ukraine is hopelessly lost and which country will Putin take then? He's like Hitler, once he smells blood there's no turning back!

A heart-rending and well done image, Ute. It very much illustrates the tragedy and horror of an animal that uses innocent civilians, including children as bargaining chips and human shields. Trust me, if I had the means and the way, I'd be more than willing to put a small piece of lead between his eyes.

But there are many, many more things at play than any of us have any idea of. Putin has bit off more than he can chew.

He may or may not press that red button. Yes, if he did we would respond in kind, and Russia would be a radioactive wasteland. So would most of the world. Russia has over 4,500 warheads. We have somewhere around 3,800. More than enough to end all life on Earth. I don't know anyone who wants to see that - and that is the one main thing that scares the living shit out of me. All it takes is one moment of miscalculation.

We just have to keep hoping, and praying, and supporting the valiant people of Ukraine in any way we can.

I'll be back regularly very soon.

Rod makes a very good point. And I agree, Ute, that all countries have to do a lot more for Ukraine, including the U.S. And I agree that Putin knows that he 'can't' use nuclear weapons, because if he does, he would destroy his people and the world. But I don't know what he'd do...he's crazy. Like Kim Jong Un---he's crazy. Who knows what he'll do. But the West has so many other powers at their disposal: Covert action. Covert forces. The CIA. The Navy Seals. Spies. European Intelligence...and so on. Let's hope they're all working on every solution to end this war---'behind closed doors'. I'm told that individual soldiers are going to Ukraina, to help out. More needs to be done. Putin is absolutely insane.

A powerful image of a wounded child. The child seems helpless, and lost. With a few supplies to last a short time. Very well done, as always, Ute. You've done a lot of powerful images about the Ukraine. I hope Putin is stopped. He's a reckless monster. He's inexcusable.

The mood of helplessness and despair is well done. I think we all feel that way and I think a lot of people are struggling with their feelings. That red button is a scary thing for the entire world. Thank you for caring so strongly.

I completely agree with you. And even if Putin were crazy enough to give the order, I don't believe the soldiers would dare carry it out, knowing it would result in their own homes and families being destroyed. This is a powerful statement.

Putin is obsessed wth recreating Russia as it was in Soviet days. Do we go in and stop him - we should. Would his miitary carry out the order to use nukes? A revolution is needed.

A splendid image, Ute.

GREAT work, it's a very moving image, And I commend your resolute stance, putin is a paranoid psychopath that now even has to isolate himself from his own inner circle..that alone speaks volumes....I've always said there needs to be a united intervention Unfortunately no one nation alone will do this... Not with the constant nuclear deterrent in play...it's that " what if".. He dose push the button...the only way this will come to quick end... Is if there is a military take over, buy high ranking officer within the russian army.. And putin losses control of the war machine... But again he has spent year's aligning himself with people in the same mind set

It's a very emotional image, Ute. I understand the terrible situation that inspired you to create it. Putin is vile and dangerous and I am less confident regarding his willingness to start flinging nukes. After all, if he had the bad judgement to do this...

An eloquent image.

Though its true that prayers and sympathy won't necessarily change the tide of the military conflict, that's not to say they don't have value. I can confidently say, coming from a family driven out their homeland by invaders, and having experienced air raids and gun battles first hand, that the positive effect of such generosity of spirit and goodwill as is currently on display is not to be underestimated, despite what politicians may or may not do...

This is a good image and to the point. I'll spare the thread from further comments regarding Putin's insanity as your art says it all, Ute, and the matter has been addressed by far more accomplished wordsmiths...
