Kramp can tell by the Observer’s expression that this is not the crew he was hoping for.

I realized I wanted an alien for another scene and was wondering what I had available. So this is basically an "aliens in my runtime" render that I thought I’d share for fun :-)
I’m not sure Yweeb is meant to be an alien, exactly, but he looked so eager to join in, and who was I to say no? I did have to draw the line at Tiny, however. (He’s still mad that I included a "symbiont elf" and not him, but when else was I going to use her?)

Aw, not Yweeb! If you try to fire him, that one big eye of his will well up with tears and you'll change your mind :-) Based on the "fairy alien's" expression, I'm thinking the Observer might be ready to target him with a pointer finger to the exit door (if only the Observer had any fingers!) Thanks for the chuckle :-)

Heh. I recently did a "crowd" scene myself and had a ball with it. I bet you enjoyed this in much the same way. I love the variety of the aliens and that makes up for the simple composition (which has a lot of enjoyable subtlety if you are looking for it, like the reflections in the port). I was actually surprised to find I had fewer aliens than I was expecting. That is, until EmZac saw my comment on your scene with him and decided to come visit my runtime too! I don't know if that's how reflections on glass would work in a space ship, but I didn't like the plasticy look of the window's default materials, so I used D3D's plate glass shader. I have glass shaders from a few folks that don't look too bad in Firefly, depending on other scene elements!

I was kinda surprised to find that I had so few aliens, but I was especially surprised to realize I had a "fairy alien," because.. fairies 💖!! He (or she?) will definitely have to play a bigger part in another scene. Colflek-gnorg's "Observers" crack me up every time I see their grumpy faces, so I was glad to have a chance to use them :-)

I love your new image, which is really very well done, looks to me like a very special meeting of the outer-space people concerning this unnecessary war on our planet that is about to get out of hand, I just hope they at least have a plan to stop it right now. I wish you a good weekend!

I think you mean Kramp? The one on the right who's looking at the Observer to gauge his reaction? He's a freebie by Nursoda and I'm not sure he's meant to be an alien, but with a bit of greenish/bluish tint to his skin and the right setting, he certainly fits in with the aliens :-) Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for the comment. I'm particularly curious about that "Fairy Alien" (or "Alien Fairy"??). I don't even remember when or where I got it, but it showed up when I searched my runtime for "alien," so of course it had to join the crew. (It's apparently not happy about that, judging by the expression I chose!) I also just love the Observers' grumpy face and was glad to have the chance to use it in a scene :-)

Well I'm sure that when push comes to shove, this motley crew will surprise him with their ingenuity and skills! Not to judge a book by its cover as the old mantra goes? A fine looking scene with a bunch of cool characters! Like the setting as well!

Thanks for the comment! I think Kramp's hopeful yet doubtful glance at the Observer is probably what "sells" this image, but the Fairy Alien is the one whose story I want to know more about! He does not look happy to be considered as part of this crew :-)
