Description
While the wizard descended from the tower his dragon settled in front of the cat girl. "I've not seen one such as you before," it said staring into her eyes.
"Oh. Eh. I did not know dragons could speak," cat girl ventured.
"I didn't know cats could either," it replied.
The wizard came out of his home and confronted Jorl. "So, about repayment?" he began.
"Ehm... Well... yeh see th' potion I bought from yeh on credit wore off an' I becomes fully visible afore I could acquire th' object o' int'rest." Jorl fidgeted. "I prolly spent too much time freein' th' kitten, yeh see."
"Hmm. So you think that your lack of focus on acquiring the book is my problem. You knew the invisibility conferred by my potion was very time limited!" The wizard scowled. "Tell me why I shouldn't turn you into a rat!"
"Now, now, yer wizardship yeh needs not get nasty! Freein' th' kitten 'as worked well. She's a natural thief; a cat burglar yeh might say."
"So?" asked the wizard.
"She an' meself 'as a line on shiny things from th' Crypt o' the King o' th' Ol' Kingdom, we do. Ef we kin lay 'ands on these things we'd give yeh th' choice o' any one o' them what you would 'ave. I'm thinkin' they be full o' magical!"
"Hmm. Interesting, I admit. And why are you bringing this proposition to me instead of the objects to choose from in repayment?"
Jorl swallowed and gathered himself. "There's an Iron Golem. What'd you be knowin' o' Golems?"
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.757 with Superfly Cycles 2 and tweaked in Photoshop for a bit of glow and vignette. The catgirl is A3 using some very old material from DAZ I was reminded of recently by Mazzam. The textures haven't aged well and I messed with them to try to give the impression of fur rather than plastic (the hair was the worst >.<). The Dwarf is by Sixus1 and is available at Renderosity. The wizard is based on M4 with textures and morphs by Mortus Vetum. The setting is by BlueTreeStudios.
So. I usually don't do cute well. But, you have to admit, the cat girl is CUTE! 🤗

Cat Girl looks a bit taken aback by dragon breath! Hope they come to some kind of mutual admiration for being creatures with the unexpected ability to speak :-) Love the story and how Jori masterfully redirects the wizard's interest away from the debt and towards the prospect of his choice of magical items! Now the question remains: can Jori really deliver on this promise??!
MollyFootman
Thanks, Amy. Yeah, Jorl is a bit of a con man (dwarf?) for sure. My favorite part of the picture to set up was the confrontation between the cat girl and the dragon; I was cackling like mad as I set it up. XD I'm glad you enjoyed that, too! =)

MollyFootman
Oh my, thank you! I did enjoy setting up the confrontation between the cat girl and the dragon so I'm extra pleased that you got a kick out of that! =)

Yeah, she's a cutie. Do like her posing and her tail being up. Who likes dragon breath?
MollyFootman
I'm glad you agree re: cat girl cuteness. That tail is a fun thing to mess with and as a person who has been owned be several cats I know attending to their tail attitude is a helpful way to understand how they feel about things. XD
Thanks, JD! I always enjoy hearing from you. =)

Nice work with the expressions, well worth the full-scale view to see them. I don't know if its deliberate, but the round glasses on the wizard make him look a like Roy Wood of "Wizzard" fame... :)
MollyFootman
Thanks, Joe. I wish it the glasses were deliberate as I love visual puns and humor but it had not occurred to me until you mentioned it. Now I cannot look at him without thinking of "See My Baby Jive". XD

Where did you get the dragon?
MollyFootman
The Dragon is from DAZ. It's the "Adult Hatchling Dragon" by DAZ originals and MallenLane. I got it a long time ago (actually, I think my husband got it) and I used it here because I found it easier to pose than the Millenium Dragon (but that's probably just me}. XD
It seems to still be available. Good rendering, my dear! =)

Excellent - well that blows my Daz budget for this month, but it's a very welcome addition to the dragons folder.
Thank you
