Description
Lady Koshini waves goodbye to her friends as she leaves the party and heads out on her own adventures!
==AMY’S NOTES==
There was something about the first render I posted that was still bugging me, so I decided to run it through Painnt to see if a "toon effect" would help. I think it did, but of the dozen or so effects I tried, I couldn’t choose between two of them, so I’m sharing them both :-) I know some folks don’t like these kind of postwork effects, but I really enjoy how they can bring cohesion to elements that may not otherwise match in style.
Rendered in March 2022 using Firefly in Poser Pro 11 for Mac at 3200 × 1800 pixels. Art effects applied in Painnt. View full size on my blog. (Blog post has all three versions.)
==CREDITS==
SCENE: Aradior Point by P3DA; TerraDome2.
CHARACTER: Koshini2 toon figure and Clothing Pack 15: Betrothed by Lady Littlefox; purse from Sensibility outfit for V4 by Ravenhair.

Oh yes! I do like this version better! This style I find more appealing to me at least! Many fine kudos to you from me!

Thank you for the comment! I'm glad you like this version better! I agree with FlintHawk's comment about how the first toon effect makes Koshini seem happier, and we need more "happier" in the world :-)

The first version makes the scene pop! The second version looks smudged/duller & Koshini doesn't look as happy! Just my personal opinion.

I can see what you're seeing, I think. On the first "tooned" version, there's a glint of light on her forehead and cheek, and it's not there in the second "tooned" version, so when you switch between the two, she definitely looks happier with the glints of light on her face! Good observation :-) I do like the "pop" effect of some of these art filters, esp. after tweaking their settings. Thank you for commenting!!

I love it !!!!! Playing with post tools is always part of the fun. Well done.

Sometimes you really nail it with these post effects but this one is a toughie. I don't like either of them as much as the original but I like the second one (on the right) rather than the one that displays by default. I continue to like the way the character doesn't seem quite as young to my eye as so many toon characters do. I think it's the clothing and hair that create that impression.
This is so subjective... >.<

That's fair! Art is indeed rather subjective :-) I can see what you mean about Koshini looking more mature here. I do think it's partly the hair style and maybe also the colors I chose for the hair and eyes. I have a "Mrs. Claus" outfit for her that also makes her look older, even without the aid of a more mature skin texture. Interesting how that works! Trying to render this dress in a way that satisfied me was frustrating enough that I might just have to give it yet another go, but in a totally different setting.

I like both :) Post effects are fine. Everything is just a tool to create art. There shouldn't be rules. It's all what you imagine. LOL

What Kelchris3 said. you use multiple tools to paint your house!! why would art be different? AND a super fun duet!!

I love your painted look image, juist like back in the days image. Excellent.

Koshini is seldom seen these days. At one time the galleries were full of Koshini images.
