Description
Mathilda’s been working on her spelling lessons, in hopes of one day becoming a wizard’s apprentice!
==AMY’S NOTES==
Yes, I confess, I bought Kit in the year 2022, when she’s probably already old enough to vote, specifically so that I could use some of the adorable characters made by LittleDesign.de! I’ve never had a use for very young children in scenes, but when I saw how LittleDesign turned Kit and Kiki into little fairies, elves, and other faeling creatures, I couldn’t resist :-)
I was also happy to finally have a use for Lully’s The Dome product, as it’s a neat set and I’ve seen it used so well by others.

absolutely in my wheelhouse in terms of palette... it' so interesting for me how working with older figures challenges me on all sorts of levels, and for lots of reasons, one of which is to try out colours & colouring i'm not wholly comfortable with... thinking it's a good thing, that challenge, but i do also seem to return instinctually to the pinks, purples, blues and greens. love the balance in her yellow undertones offset by the complimentary purple. and damn, i really want to misspekl something here.. ;)

Thank you for the comment, Giana! I love this color palette too and naturally gravitate towards it, but after I made this image I wanted to play some more with Lully's The Dome and also wanted to try another outfit on Cookie, and I ended up with a color palette that is NOT within my comfort zone but that seems to work OK. (I'll post that one in the next day or so.) It definitely is interesting to push one's boundaries like that!
You had mentioned that you were enjoying using Krystal, even though she's an older figure, but I didn't realize until recently that your Abby character is based on Krystal. WOW!! You've really made her a unique character all your own!
And be careful what you misspekl, as you never know how your spell might backfire if any of the words have letters out of place ;-)

This is so cute and very well done!

I can see why you were tempted! She is a cutie! I love your color palette! It looks so peaceful & pleasant!

Thank you! I'm not even sure if I have other textures for Kit's little outfit. It loaded in pink, and I just went from there :-) I did have to modify the block materials a bit so that they'd pick up some of the pink (they're more pure white by default). As I mentioned to Giana, this color palette is definitely one of my favorites :-)

Lol, Pregnant chads just came to mind. This is quite nonetheless, and nice lighting for firefly.

Darling work. She is a little charmer.
perpetualrevision
Thank you! "Darling" and "little charmer" are definitely great descriptions for this little faeling :-) I hope to catch her in the act of practicing more spells in the future!

I love the colors and the clever pun with the scrabble blocks and her desire to become a sorceress. Overall it's a really pleasant visual gem that I enjoy just looking at. I got the dome a while back and never really thought about it but now you have me thinking. It's perfect for simple portraits which I do from time to time. Thanks for sharing, Amy.

Thanks for the comment, Molly! When I saw those word block props, I immediately wanted them, but after I got them, I couldn't think of a way to use them. Until this popped into my head! Lully's The Dome backdrop prop is pretty nifty for this type of use, esp. with some additional "portrait props" like the word blocks. I'll definitely use it again!

OMG soooo freaking cute!!!!!!

Isn't she just? After playing with Mathilda, I had to also get Libby. I'm hoping they might like to practice their spelling together :-)
