digital painting and drawing - a darkened color merge of distressed parchment paper, etc etc - This isn't the final version, just the iteration before it was a .jpeg, and I'm lazy tonight. I'll post the "vintage" version soon.

What-If and Perhaps
What-If and Perhaps, two languishing chaps
Went rowing in life's little boat
They took harpoons and line to deftly entwine
their lost dreams, cocooned and afloat
They had thrown them away, on a difficult day,
But what-if, could picture them found and alive.
Perhaps considered this notion, and agreed that the ocean
could be kind, if they continued to strive.
By m o r n i n g, airborne! -- Prismal flying!
A heroic, kaleidoscopic rebid!
Finally finished with their dismal trying
What-if WAS, & Perhaps finally DID!

Beautiful image, and what a neat poem! I love that as a new name for your DA gallery! The idea of a hot air balloon made of butterflies is inspired :-)
