I found the picture you had likely been inspired by: Rosa Bonheur in her atelier, 1893. I see you have added Rosa's beloved, Nathalie Micas. Starting with Fould and moving on to Bonheur I've enjoyed viewing so many lovely pictures because of this work. As always, thank you for inspiring me to look and learn.
As for this very picture: it is such a nice tribute to Fould and your characters of Bonheur and Micas are both lovely. I agree with others who have said they love your work with mature looking women. I certainly agree.

After the death of Nathalie Micas (50 years together) Rosa Bonheur met the second love of her life Anna Klumpke. It is of her that I made the portrait. Whatever Rosa Bonheur is aptly named, both her life and her work are flourishing. Thank you very much Molly for your comments
