I'm sorry I got to this late, Barb, but I saw it the day it went up. I love it. The patina of a gentle mist, or like we're viewing this through a very fine-wove silk veil, gives this the feeling of a dream, or a vision seen through a protective sheath, hiding something intimate, private and special. I love your woman growing out of those petals (or vice versa), she's totally natural doing it. And her skin is like near-white marble, with light from a source beyond the upper right corner, as if she's being shone upon from a higher source. It looks like there's a bird on her, but on closer inspection, that may be a simple bud. But these hints of the plant kingdom are very enticing, like you superimposed this over a richly bokeh-laden background, where everything around her swallowed by an ocean of diffuse shadows. (I see a branch, and some leaves and some buds...very quiet, very discreet.) And the angle of your model is like she's queen of this bloom and she's looking up to regally note that sun. Like a goddess. Your palette has a coppery olive gray to it, but the ivory tones are predominant, and they make this look like it was conceived in alabaster. Yet another piece of beautiful magic from you. It's little wonder that I get inspired to make tales of these...If I had the energy to write out every tale your uploads have inspired, I could fill a book. Beautiful and magical, and I like that it ends---bottom end---in huge petals just floating in the air...
