Description

"Oh, please," said Centazorg. "Tell me just one more story!" "Give me a moment," replied Josi. "I have to think of a good one!" ==AMY’S NOTES== This is one of those scenes that no matter how many things I changed or adjusted, it just never looked quite right. So I finally gave up and did a final render! I’ve been wanting to use Centazorg, and I will certainly use him again, as he’s a rather polite fellow :-) Rendered in April 2022 using Firefly in Poser Pro 11.3 for Mac at 3200 × 1800 pixels. View full size on my blog. ==CREDITS== SCENE: DM Enchanted Glade. Background from The Forest Deep by ArtByMel. CHARACTER: K4 with Josi character by Sarsa and Thorne; Top and vest from Gothic Gyrl outfit with mats from LittleDesign; Pantaloons from Regency Girl for Kids 4 by Ravenhair with mats from Marie Antoinette by Atenais; Shane hair by Propschick; Flutterby1 wings by Mada (I think), but modified and rigged by me. DR Centazorg by DinoRaul.

Thanks! I thought he was a pretty cool "fairy tale looking dragon sort beast" also and was looking forward to trying him out! His expression options are limited, but I think he looks fairly friendly here :-)

This is charming. Sometimes a render will whisper in your ear ..".don't over think me. "

Hmm, is that what that tickling sensation in my ear means???! :-) Usually when I'm putting together a scene, there comes a moment when everything looks "right," but I never quite got there with this one, mainly b/c I kept moving plants around and fiddling with Josi's expression. Oh well, the main idea got through! Thanks for the comment :-)

So very sweet. The title reminds me of our dogs - but they want treats, not stories. Thanks for all your lovely comments on my gallery too x

Thanks! I'm glad Centazorg has the look of a dog wanting more "treats" b/c that's what I was going for, rather than the scary creature I'm sure he could be! I love your gallery and the work you do with Vue, and I'm still planning to continue browsing backwards through it, so I hope the comments on older images don't drive you nuts!

Josi looks like she is plotting something. Wonderful scene

I think she's plotting to come up with a story that will finally satisfy Centazorg's thirst for adventure, so that they can both go home and have dinner! Thanks for the comment :-)

I just keep moving various bits of scenery around, mainly vegetation, and it never quite looked right. I don't know why! I also kept fiddling with Josi's pose, even though I acted it out myself and that's pretty much how I'd look if I was trying to say, "Hold on a moment; let me think of one!" Usually after I fiddle a bunch, a scene will just sort of "click" into place for me, but not this one, for whatever reason! The good news is that it left me motivated to use Centazorg again :-)

This is a wonderful fairytale scene! Centazorg is quite a unique character & this is a perfect setting & idea!

After I got Bulldow a few years ago and saw how charming he could be, I went through all of DinoRaul's figures and put other ones on my wishlist that I thought might have that same fairytale look. That's how I ended up with Centazorg, Echu, and Mush, although I didn't realize how sinister Mush looks until I used him in a recent scene! I still haven't used Echu but look forward to finding the right fairy pal for him :-) Thanks for the comment!

Great, it's a very nicely done scene, which could come from a new fairytale-Book!

Really nice sense of a green magical place in the woods! Well composed and lit and the expressions of both Centazorg and Josi really advance a sense of relationship. I understand the problem of feeling something is not quite as good as it might be; I have that pretty much all the time. As you want to illustrate your character's relationship and introduce a setting, I'm not sure what else might have been done... Perhaps a camera angle from slightly higher? Well, I'm loving it in any case! =)

Thank you, Molly! Usually after I do a bunch of fiddling with a scene, something will just "click" for me and I feel like it's ready for a final render. But with this one I just kept moving the vegetation and adjusting Josi's pose and nothing ever clicked. I thought it was good but wanted it to be better, both the composition and Josi's pose. I did as much as I could do with Centazorg's body language b/c he doesn't have any expression morphs!

On my first pass through this scene, Josi (a K4 fairy I set up a few years ago, along with a whole clan of 'em) was wearing the skirt that goes with the top she has on, and of course I had the usual problem of trying to make the skirt "sit." I went through all my usual tools (dynamics, magnets, making a morph in my modeling app), but none of them worked well, so I switched to pants. I guess pants work better for sitting in a tree, but I was reminded of why I ended up making my own school uniform skirts for the characters in the graphic novel I was working on b/c getting skirts to SIT properly is such a PITA!!
