Description
Granny wanted a photo of the kids in their Easter finery, so Mama told them to stand in front of the flowers and pose like the nice little well-behaved children they were. And this is what they did :-)
==AMY’S NOTES==
I think I nearly wore out my (old) MacBook trying out different background settings for these two, and then I remembered that I’d set up just the kind of backdrop I wanted for Welcome to Mama Utla’s Sweet Home Inn. Yet again I’m thankful that I always save scene files, so I can re-use things like this!
I’m noticing with my new MacBook that images that looked bright enough on the old one now don’t, esp. after being uploaded to the web, even though the color profiles and various settings are exactly the same. What’s different, of course, is the new Liquid Retina XDR display. So I’ve been going back and adding curves adjustments to images I haven’t yet posted, and hopefully they don’t end up looking overly bright to y’all!
Rendered in April 2022 using Firefly in Poser Pro 11.3 for Mac at 2400 × 1350 pixels. Art effects applied in Topaz Studio 2. View full size on my blog.

LOL Beautiful scene and I love their well behaved poses.
perpetualrevision
Thanks! I originally had them in some "prim and proper" kinds of poses, and while those were cute, they kinda lacked personality. So then I let them express themselves (with the bonus of getting to see the girl's cute bunny tail!) Good thing the bow on the dress had a lot of movement morphs so that I could keep it out of the way of the tail!

A very happy looking spring time dance in preparation for the Easter Sunday festivities! Great looking characters, poses and setting! A truly delightful work of art! Bravo many times over!
perpetualrevision
Thank you for the comment! I'm glad they look like they're enjoying themselves :-)
Flint_Hawk
It looks like they are having a bunny ball! Cute! This will be better than a stiff, posed pictures!
I know what you mean about things looking different on different machines! It took me ages to get the lights working correctly on the computer I have now! It can be so aggravating!
perpetualrevision
At first I had the girl in a sweet little pose that really did look nice, but it lacked the energy kids usually have, which these poses are better at conveying! Thanks for the comment!
The hardest thing about putting images on the web for others to see is, of course, that no two displays will ever be completely alike, so it's hard to know how others are seeing your work! I guess we have to trust that it looked good on the artist's display, even if it's a little too dark or bright on ours :-)

Lovely scene.

Thank you so much for the comment, Gisela!

Fine spring scene with lovely flowers.

So very cute and fun. Most definitely you want to save the scene files. Often, I find it easier to pull from a scene file than to find some obscure thing in my mess of a content folder. Well done.
perpetualrevision
I know some folks delete older scene files to save space, and I've been known to archive them to an external HD, but it's awfully handy to have them available on the internal drive. I do try to remember to delete all the random stuff I loaded into the scene file and then hid, though, before I save and close it! Those suckers can get rather large, esp. if you used several figures.
Thanks for the comment!

This is wonderful! It has that classic quality of Vintage and antique Easter cards! Beautiful work and posing!
perpetualrevision
Aw, thanks! I did some postwork on it in Topaz Studio 2 to try and get a softer, more painterly vintage feel. It's subtle, but I think it made a difference compared to the untouched render. I also always enjoy the opportunity to play with software like Topaz Studio 2, to see what kinds of interesting things it can do to renders!

Wonderful garden and dance poses! A perfect Easter post card. Excellent work!
perpetualrevision
Thanks so much for the comment! I posted a simpler "Easter card" today, but I like the idea of this scene as a kind of vintage postcard :-)

Very nice.

I love all the detail with the flowers and the inn. It reallly works with the joyous lepus children. =)
Regarding scenes? When you go to all the work to set up a scene it certainly makes sense to save it. I am always going back to previous scenes and reusing them in stories. In my head, little worlds of interconnecting rooms and such start to take on real existence as my characters walk through them. =)
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Molly! I LOVE flowers, but I'm not much of a gardener, so getting to set up digital gardens is particularly satisfying. I have nearly all of LisaB's flower models and just love adding and arranging them to various scenes!
For those doing multi-part storytelling, I think saving scene files is even more important (so ya gotta make sure you have enough hard drive space!) I really love the idea of "little worlds of interconnecting rooms" taking on a life of their own, as your characters follow their own paths even after you're done working with them! All my Nursoda people are very real to me, and Tiny even has a presence in our household, in that when something goes wrong, we blame it on Tiny :-)

What a wonderful setting. Love this
perpetualrevision
Thanks so much for the comment! I love that setting too and wish it was a B&B I could go visit in real life!

great holiday fun with the rabbit family.

Wonderful composition, the spring is in the air and those adorable kids bring a joyous touch to the scene.
Superb lighting, brilliant awesome render. Magnificent Masterpiece of Finest Arts. I love it!
perpetualrevision
Thanks so much for the comment! "Composing" the kids took some work, of course, but "composing" all those flowers took ages!! Good thing I kinda dig being a "digital gardener" -- I can play with flowers all I want and never get my hands dirty! :-)

You are so very dear and so cute, my dear perpetualrevision. You have already made rockets to fly further than Titans did, you can relax and enjoy gardening as you consider fit. I call Titans guys like Michelangelo and da Vinci, to only name a few. If you haven't realized it yet, it's not my fault, check the gauge how high you can fly, eventually check the black box, all data must be there. I do mean it.
perpetualrevision
Aw, shucks, you're too kind! Thank you for the comment!

This is so totally cute!!!
