Description
I'm gonna have to step down again for a few days, but I'll finish some comments first. For now, here are 4 very old images, all with branches in them. You don't have to comment---just wanted to share some oldies.
The first image is one is one of my early experiments in 'mood'. (A little abstract, but I was learning.) A lagoon near home.
The second's an old, old photo near home. Playing with contrasts. (Nothing added--just a photo.)
The third I posted eons ago: A line drawing of a Japanese tea house. It was one of my first line drawings...The branches are a bit flowery for the house, but I worked on this little beast for days.
Finally, the last---lengthen the window if you don't see it---is a bamboo from 1980. Line drawing in red ink.
That's all! Thanks for your wonderful visits...I'll visit the rest of your galleries, then step down. Won't be gone long. Take care, and happy May to all! Mark
(They're all clearer, full size.)

What a neat collection of branches. I love that you used the word branches; it conveys the feeling of a network of life and your images are all so full of life. The photos are a cool contrast in lighting/depth and the two drawings are warm and magical and filled with a hint of history. I adore the photo of the city, it's an amazing photo, especially in the sepia tones. The tea house is magnificent; the detail is really something to be proud of. Bravo!

These are all just gorgeous, Mark. I'm definitely blown away by that tea house drawing - that is magnificent, sir! I love all these pieces!
Like you, I'm going to have to take a few days off. Not feeling good at all today... Hopefully we'll both have some better days ahead.

These look great, like a hidden view of the world. I hope you're headed to Daytona Beach to party for spring break, and it's not your health. Take care of yourself.

You've succeeded in preserving the real natural pattern of branches and twigs here. Well done, Mark!
