Description
Cookie the Jester having a bit of fun!
==AMY’S NOTES==
When I first posed Cookie, the "skirt" of her tunic didn’t move with the leg bends, so I went into the Cloth room, "clothified" the tunic’s hip actor, and ran a simulation. It wasn’t until I went to spawn a morph target on the hip actor that I saw all the movement dials SilverElf had already included (which I opted to use instead). Duh! NTS: Always check for the simplest solution first!
Rendered in March 2022 using Firefly in Poser Pro 11.3 for Mac at 2048 × 1152 pixels. View full size on my blog.

But if you checked for the simplest solution first you wouldn't learn as much & just think of all of the frustration you would avoid!
Great background for this fun jester! I love the touch of colors in it!

It's nice to know that you can clothify the hip actor on some skirts and dresses, but it's also nice when you don't need to!! Sometimes I feel like I've reached my saturation point when it comes to learning how to do things in Poser, and now I just want to use what I've learned to make art! At least until a new challenge pops into my head :-)

Lovely but you rendered on May or March?
perpetualrevision
I rendered this one in March and then kinda forgot about it! So it didn't get posted until May :-) I still have a few items rendered in April that I'll eventually post. Sometimes I let things "sit" for a while to see if I want to try and make them better, but if nothing comes to mind, I eventually post them!

Tooooo cute!!!! For Sure fun!!!

Thanks! These aren't my favorite colors, but trumarcar's jester mats (and that hat and stick prop) were so cute that I just went with it! I don't love that character for Cookie, either, but the freckles are cute!

Sweet scene, cute character and super looking background. Glad you were able to work things out. Well done!
CoolDimension
Very sweet and very well done! Has a 1950s-60s quality!

Thanks for the comment! I wonder if that's b/c of the colors? This isn't my typical color scheme, but it worked with the jester mats for the outfit!

Super cute. Love the outfit and colors

Thank you! The colors aren't part of my usual palette, but it's fun to expand one's options every once in a while!

i am SURE you are not suggesting taking the easy path first. This Violates SO many principles of Daily Living. Totally unheard of!!! Think of the Time Not Wasted. The Efficiency. This seems so Totally Wrong!!!
Super image!!

I'm pretty sure I've never managed to even locate the easy path, much less tread upon it! But sometimes "learning experiences" are over-rated :-)
Radar_rad-dude

Totally adorable lil character.

Your notes remind me of a musical group I used to follow and still love: Riders in the Sky. A lot of their humor boiled down to: there's three ways to accomplish any task; the easy way, the hard way and the cowboy way. The cowboy way was inevitably the least obvious and the most complicated. XD
That aside, it's a cute picture that caught my eye and I enjoyed viewing. Thank you for sharing! <3

Thanks for the comment, Molly! I have an ex-partner who specialized in the cowboy (or cowgirl, in her case) way!! Everything she did around the horses and barn stuff she did in the most complicated way imaginable, which I suspect was a habit she picked up when she was trying to avoid her then-husband by "needing" to be out with the horses all day! Because there's really no other reason for needing to undo six different gates to get to a particular horse pen :-)
In the case of this outfit, the cloth simulation might've actually been preferable if the scene was aiming for more realism, as the skirt ended up with some nice folds. But given its toony nature, the simple movement morphs supplied by the creator worked better!
