Description

This was a fun project done in one day. Began by building the cave using a profile object and a bezier curve that looped back on itself to create the chamber and the entry passage (also made UV unwrapping really easy). Floor is a flat plane subdivided with a multires and then a little sculpting to create the water channel and sand. Added in some small rocks scattered with a particle system, hand placed my stalactites and columns. Original idea for the temple was something Greco-Roman and at the last minute I decided to go with something Egyptian inspired, and that seemed to work really well. I didn't add any smaller details to it, because I honestly have no idea what it was for. LOL Then added in the lighting effects and adjusted them, some final compositing after rendering and there it is. One of these days I'm going to finish learning Daz Studio so I can add some adventurers exploring the scene.

Nice Blender work. I really must take the time to learn how to use this excellent software one day.

Thank you, its really well worth the time to learn and there are so many tutorials out there to help you. Meanwhile I'm still trying to get up to speed with Daz Studio. I love doing these environmental scenes but being able to add people in would be nice.

I do not use this myself, but how ´bout this: https://diffeomorphic.blogspot.com/p/daz-importer-version-15.html It is said to be unstable, but maybe worth a try!?

I can export stuff from DS fairly easily, just export a figure as an obj and it comes through okay. I'm still learning to rig things in Blender and I'm not sure if I exported as an fbx or something if the rigging would come through okay. Mostly I was thinking of going the other way, importing stuff I make to DS and setting it up there, I still have almost everything to learn about DS. I need to block out time to go through all the tutorials. I need a 36 hour day. LOL Maybe if I just give up sleeping?

Thanks for the link though.
