Description
Of course Steve is too busy chatting with Mel to be bothered with the trivial details
of loading their personal luggage into the Jeep. Miss Finche and Devon soon have the
Jeep's back seat almost filled to the brim with barely any room left for a passenger!
'Oh, you can sit in the back, Miss Finche.' says Steve. 'Hope you don't mind. Me and
Mel are going over some more of the finer details of our stay here!'
Miss Finche crawls through the luggage reluctantly and squeezes in between the many
suitcases of what she deems mostly 'Steve's crap!' Once everyone is seated, Mel fires
up the Jeep and they leave the airport to their destination, a comfortable old hotel
in the heart of the old town.
Miss Finche listens to Mel and Steve's conversation and isn't able to get in a word
edgewise with Steve running off his mouth practially non-stop. Mel has a big grin on
her face. Miss Finche wonders what that is all about. 'Well,' she thinks, 'when we
get to this hotel, there better be a good room for me or I'm raising holy hell. And
furthermore, I've got several bones to pick with him!'
Meanwhile, the two pilots are unloading the contents of the plane. It appears that
the local airport maintenance crew has all gone out on strike and there is only one
lonely guy to be found to help them with this task!
'I didn't sign on to do this dirty work!' mumbles Devon, the co-pilot. 'You know
that loud mouthed Steve could have offered to stay and help with this heavy lifting!'
'Well, you said a mouth full there, Devon!' says the pilot. 'I've about had a belly
full of that b. s. er too! When push comes to shove, that guy can sure find the
exit real quick or come up with some excuse not to get involved with what needs to
be done!'
'Well, I think he has met his match with that Miss Finche!' says Devon. 'If anyone
can handle him, she can!'
'For sure!' says the pilot. 'And I've know Mel, their guide, for quite a few years
now, having made many runs down here to Bermuda! What Miss Finche doesn't dish out
to him, Mel can take care of any shortages. I don't envy Steve old boy one bit!'

Finche will have her way eventually....though i sense there will be a conflict resolution at some point, possibly at the expense of the aliens.

Looks like Mel and Miss Finche have some planned surprises for smug Steve along the way. Now if we could only give the guys unloading the plane a little more help next time...it would be nice! "LOL" (the scene in the background is so well done and representative of the attention you put into your art work) Looking forward to the next episode. :-)

Ooo, the look on Ms. Finche's face tells it all! She is not happy with Steve's arrogant, egocentric ways and just might join forces with Mel to teach him a lesson! Unfortunately, in life it seems that arrogant jerks never learn any better, but perhaps in stories it will go better! Poor pilots drafted into unloading duty! I'm sure they're ready to turn the plane around, head home, and forget all about this little misadventure!

when I moved an old lady from Calif. to Texas and loading as many things of hers I could get in. she had a small space to sit. she survived the ordeal and myself.
someone flies a C47 over my house 1 to 2 times a week. would like to find out what airport he is using so I could maybe ride with him/her. superb composition of a large scene

I hope that the pilots have it right in their estimation of the women's relationship with dude's like Steve. He's the kind of arrogant male that drives me to distraction! XD
