Ok.
An old member here once said I 'gush' too much....Well, hell: We got covid, we got war, we got people scraping by every day, we got climate matters, illness...so why not gush? So, gush time! If ya can't gush, then why get up in the morning...
(once again, these are fuller when seen large...) (and yeah, they're a little nutso, but why not go for the wild side...)
I assume all my fans know Steve: Once again, he's here. Now Steve never told me what "eekdog" means...but that's ok. He's one loved person here. First, Steve is one of the most talented color-ists I've known. I say this after years of working with artists. And he has a style that can knock your socks off. I don't think Steve believes this, but his designs could be on the covers of CDs and magazines (which his fans have said repeatedly). In fact he does a magazine series; and his design, clarity, color, mastery of fonts, etc, is terrific. He's got a dazzling eye.
His music images are in-your-face explosive: I'm a musician, I can relate. And he handles darkness with absolute ease. (I think he has way high ISO's in his brain...) And he does great cartoons, and all kinds of deliciously macabre images, and photo-shoot images, and on and on...but he's also one of the kindest people on the site: I mean supportive and so kind to us all...and that counts for a ton. He's been through ups and downs galore, but come through them with tremendous resolve; and he's done it with no loss of love or joy for others. (I've not seen one day where he's waned in his love for others...not one...)
If my figuring is right, Steve's 65 today! If I'm wrong, then Happy Mid 60s, Steve! (That's covers me!) It's been a world-of-pleasure knowing you, and I hope you know how many people feel the same about you. I send it all back to you in kind, with tons of light, health and inspiration. Thanks for being such a wonderful friend to us all, and such a knock-out artist. Sent with health, love and lots of blessings, always; and I hope your coming year is filled with light from above, mark

Mark...let me be the first to congratulate you on this amazing set of images you have dedicated to Steve's birthday...they are all awesome and a joy to view. I agree with everything you stated above about our friend Steve, he is truly a one of a kind good person and a great artist all rolled into one. Steve has my best wishes for him to enjoy his B-day to the fullest way possible. :-)

the mighty five here my friend and best of the set of three. thank you for the kind words. eekdog is a nickname from a old boss i worked with. he always called me EEKS, but i played a commodore 64 compute back in the early 80's and had a game where you named you battleship. so i called it USS EEKDOG. so i modified my nick name. being 65 sure is not in my favor but it is what it is.
that third image is so well done as with all, but it's my fave of this group. thank you Mark you are awesome my friend.

These are wonderful! Crystal balls protecting the city, or maybe predicting the future of the city. Awesome colors and fantasy moods. The bottom water scene feels like waking up from a long, dark night into magical daylight. All 3 dedication sets are fabulous and so interesting to see... Happy Birthday, Steve!

You've absolutely nailed it about Steve! (and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STEVE!!!). Steve is one of the first folks I met here at Rendo all those years ago, and he's been there encouraging me when I was down, and cheering me on when I wasn't. He's contributed to the TNA story, and he's always been there for me. And you're right - he's one heck of a talented creator! His Poser Girl magazine covers are very professional, every time.
You know.... Some folks get ahold of Photoshop, or similar apps, and try as they might, they always end up making things that make me scratch my head. But not you! You have an inner art soul that just knows what to do, and how to do it so it grabs you and pulls you in. At least it does for me. These all have that "Mark Magick" that opens up a new world to explore.
Now, I'm gushing.... LOL
On to the next 2...
