Description

Hi. This is an old, old photo, taken for a client back in the 19th C (before the Civil War), and it's very "burnt umber". (Remember that color? From Crayola Crayons???) I don't remember why it was done that way, but I think it was for a poster. It's a lagoon near home...and Lake Michigan is just beyond the trees. (Say hi, Lake Michigan! Be nice to all your fans on RR!) (Boy, when you start talking to lakes, you know you got a problem...) I got my 2d covid booster yesterday, and I want to say that I am out of it! I always had bad reactions to shots...But! I'm catching up with all of you piece by piece, and I promise to get to all of you soon. I hope you're all well and wish you a terrific June! Take care, mark ------------------

pretty old m friend, love your joke about it's age. a beautiful calm place at the time of capture my friend. love the sepia tone look it has, or is it my eyes going bad? love the lone duck just minding it's own business. see something more in distant but can't make it out on zoom.

Talking to lakes isn't that bad a thing to do...especially when they are as peaceful and calm as this image. The lakes tend to listen attentively to you and everything you say will be forever kept in strict confidence...your secrets are safe with them.

You always have a way of turning a photograph into an amazing one like the one here. It does look like it was taken by a time traveler that went back in time before dinosaurs ruled the earth...yes it looks like it was taken that long ago! "LOL"

Thanks once again for always leaving such wonderful comments on my videos and renders, I appreciate the time taken by you to write them. Stay safe and be well Mark! :-)

The color makes this place feel warm and comforting. The duck adds life especially next to the dead tree stump, that's excellent framing. The long line of trees makes the scene go on and on and each place I look I see something different within the beautiful trees and their reflections. I love this shot.

I think I still have one of those burnt umber crayons around here somewhere. Probably packed away in a box where it melted and stuck the box to the floor.

This is a wonderful and peaceful image, and has a delightful feel of calm. The log / branch almost looks like a sleeping creature of some kind. Duckie better keep an eye on it!

I've never talked to a lake before, but earlier this afternoon I was having a theological discussion with a can of Pringles, if that makes you feel any better. 😂

lol---a can of pringles??? You really DO need a rest! Thanks for your comments rod, and for your very poetic response to my father's day tale. I appreciate it greatly. I hope your dinner was loving and positive, and I again send all my wishes for your brother-in-law, and for all of you. I hope things start getting better for all of you, and soon. Thanks again, Sir R.

You don't really have a problem until the Lake starts talking back.
