Description
Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien.
Marcel Duchamp said that "the viewers make the paintings" to insist on the fact that the meaning of a work does not belong to its creator or to experts, but to the public who encounters it. I start a new series with the concept that "the painting makes the viewer". I take as a subject of study, the behavior, the feeling of the viewer as a mirror of the work. Quite quickly, the metaphor of the pregnant woman came to me, to suggest that art gives life to a part of our interiority. I will place, in each image, this symbolic character of a hyper receptivity, facing an off-screen painting. The blurred background refers to the reverse shot of this painting in the exhibition room as it is presented in Google Arts & Culture / Museum explorer. Accessories and the name of the artist placed on the bra will be additional clues for those who want to discover these paintings much more admirable than my images. Good visit.

I love the picture and the idea. I've been looking at the Vermeer images and find them all stunning. Seeing the horn (appears to be a trombone) next to the pregnant woman viewing the image I though maybe she's looking at "The Music Lesson" but looking at the blurred image behind her, I think not. =/ No matter, I did enjoy looking at the Vermeer images and I have enjoyed this one and the artistic puzzle that you have shared. Thank you very much for sharing it! =)

Ah ah, to find the mystery painting, you have to refer to the museum indicated at the beginning of my text: Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien. :)

Une femme enceinte qui regarde un tableau de ver-mère :-) . Je n'ai pas pu résister à ce mauvais jeu de mots

This one the same. I wish I could participate actively.

It's not too complicated, I chose famous painters in world famous museums. And if these are not yet for you, I would be happy to have you discover them. Here, you have to discover a work by Johannes Vermeer present at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. I chose this work as an introduction to my series.:)

What a wonderful concept , and an auspicious start to our journey of discovery. And how fitting to begin the narrative with the muse of history and stories!

As usual, your comment is so well shot to match the intentions I placed in this image :)
