Description
Musée d'Orsay, Paris.
Marcel Duchamp said that "the viewers make the paintings" to insist on the fact that the meaning of a work does not belong to its creator or to experts, but to the public who encounters it. I start a new series with the concept that "the painting makes the viewer". I take as a subject of study, the behavior, the feeling of the viewer as a mirror of the work. Quite quickly, the metaphor of the pregnant woman came to me, to suggest that art gives life to a part of our interiority. I will place, in each image, this symbolic character of a hyper receptivity, facing an off-screen painting. The blurred background refers to the reverse shot of this painting in the exhibition room as it is presented in Google Arts & Culture / Museum explorer. Accessories and the name of the artist placed on the bra will be additional clues for those who want to discover these paintings much more admirable than my images. Good visit.

Thank you for a trip through the Manet exhibit. I'm thinking she is looking at one of his still life paitings. =)

It is not that simple. This very famous painting from the Musée d'Orsay actually contains a still life in the foreground, therefore cherries, but touches on other genres of painting. I add as an additional clue that I took a fragment of the painting for each image to create the texture of the spectator's bra. Keep looking dear Molly :)

Google Art&culture offers virtual tours of major museums thanks to Museum explorer. Try to recognize the room by associating the painter Manet and the Musée d'Orsay. :)

En effet : Manet, Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe, 1862-63. J'aime comment Manet revisite ses classiques Titien, mais aussi Raphaël d'après une gravure. :)

I love how a relatively minor detail of the cherries in the painting becomes the focus, and clearly the source of great enjoyment

It's well observed, biting into a cherry like the beginnings of hedonism
