Description
In this one our girl Vanessa Ives makes her way on a clammy afternoon. Why she's brandishing her signature Death Glare and a Webley revolver is anyone's guess. What ensues is up to Molly. At least for the moment she's properly dressed....
Sangriart's 'celebtity' characters are superbly accurate and always shine, even when plopped into a dreary HDRI. Sybillia is a long time favorite, and as she's loaded and ready for adventure, I thought I'd try the dress and umbrella. Both performed well in dForce. The umbrella is more of a parasol which prompted upscaling, which in turn fattened the handle nearly to the point of fashioning it into a weapon sufficient to render the Webley surplus to requirements. The Webley is a Poser piece, and required a lot of positioning to pose, as they always do. Oddly, it's one of very few 3d weapons I've rendered that I've never owned or shot...
Her boots are a little anachronistic for the dress but look the part.
Enjoy, Miss Molly...:)

Marvellous scene - many intriguing possibilities here for a story.

Thanks Blue - the character alone gets me thinking :)
eekdog
What a down right awesome job on this for dear Molly. Love the rainy atmosphere. π
jdwtrxk
Thanks eekdog - Molly's worth it :)
Had some fog and rain added at one point but it cluttered and muddied the scene too much. As rendered here it took 17 seconds on an old 1080...expected a lot longer, even using an HDRI rather than a host of props.

Oh yes! A very sultry, sinister and sexy looking scene full of suspense and intrigue! I'm sure Molly can fill in all the lavish details and leave us begging for more! A most excellent work and fine creation! And I believe Molly will really be pleased with this one! A most excellent gesture on your part! Many fine kudos and praises from me to you! Hope you had a great weekend!

What's with all these renders and women brandishing firearms ? If I saw her walking towards me I would fall to the pavement and fake my death, hoping she wouldn't see me breathing and pump a few slugs into me to finish me off...

Vanessa is a bit of a tragic figure in "Penny Dreadful', and as far as I can remember, she never uses a firearm in her defense. It probably wouldn't have helped her much, but I thought I'd remedy that, for good or ill.
Girls with guns have a certain appeal when set immersed in post apocalyptical or gothic drama. Gents with guns as well.:)

Curious, i added up the number of scenes I've posted with armed females. There's fifteen, including the archer. A lot by any measure, but....

I love this. The character was a favorite of mine and you've caught a sense of intensity and resolve that seems truly dangerous. I love that she always seemed an agent on her own behalf and a force to reckon with you really have that feeling here. I think the dark, rainy weather somehow amplifies that. Again, I love this.
Thank you so much for the truly excellent image. I know that you thought about what I would enjoy based on our chats in the past and you've hit the bulls eye! =)

My pleasure Molly - Vanessa was indeed a favorite of mine also, partly because you couldn't always like her but you could always appreciate or at least respect the awful hand she was dealt.

Intriguing to say the least. Loved her character in "Penny Dreadful," but I would've enjoyed this image immensely even if I hadn't seen the show. It sends such delicious shivers down one's back ...

Eva Green was perfectly cast as Vanessa, and the writing worked. I wouldn't want to anger her with or without that .455...
romangirl
OMG sheβs carrying a gun! Awesome scene!
jdwtrxk
Thanks roman - something's given her cause...(

At this rendered distance, remembrances of Eva Green as "Vanessa" in Penny Dreadfull...the chills do travel up the spine... labyrinth51

Thanks labyrinth - Eva's Vanessa was a tragic but compelling figure indeed :)
