BIO I'm an illustrator, and for the last 15 years I have been doing almost exclusively digital work--mostly covers for e-books and small presses; fantasy, SF and Paranormal Romance covers are my specialty. I use Poser, Photoshop and Painter, and a nifty little paint program called ArtRage. I have been lucky enough to have work shown on the BBC's The Sky at Night, done promotional artwork for the Hugos, and have digital art tutorials published in Michael Burn's Femme Digitale and Digital SciFi Art (Watson-Guptill 2004) as well as DVD covers, cd covers and e-book covers, most recently for Liquid Silver Books, Edge/Tesseract and Dragon Moon Press. I'm also a member of the International Association of Astronomical Artists. . When I have time, I do acrylic paintings for fun.
Commissions: I do 3d texturing and backgrounds now rather than book covers, and I do appreciate a good UV template to work on. Thanks for checking out my bio!

Reminds me of a couch I had in early 80's using a cinder block as a leg.
Maybe cat but likely the dog on that hole.
lwperkins
The dog is my suspect too :D I think we've all had a couch like this! Thank you too!
Radar_rad-dude
Well, I think I will take the dog's word on this one! He looks too noble to lie! LOL! A most excellent image! Love the characters and the situation! Fantastic art! Bravo!
lwperkins
He is a handsome dog :D and thank you too! <3

I do not have a cat and my dog Bodie stays outside except for very cold winter days. a humorous scene and superbly done
lwperkins
Thank you so much! Bodie would have to use telepathy to chew your couch cushions then :D

"Uh huh. Likely story! You do realize the cat blamed you, right? And the cat knows how to operate the hidden camera."
Funny scene!
lwperkins
Of course the cat does AND it knows how to open the food cupboard! So tricky! hehe! And thank you!!

Woooowww..I really like this image,I hope the damage is repairable 😁😁😁👍🙋♂️

We used to just sew a cover to go over the old cover and it was as good as new :D Thank you too! <3

We had cats. Therefore I know it was the cat. It always is! 😂😂 Great idea and very well executed!
lwperkins
It's true and if you could see my couch, the sides are in tatters. But the cat loved it so much we never could tell her no :D And she was mostly a Very Good Cat. Thank you too!
RodS
Yeah, it's always the cat! LOL A wonderful scene here with the (innocent) pup!
lwperkins
Hehe thank you and the dog thanks you for having confidence in him :D

The dog looks very honest and willing to help. He will eat your homework if you want him to!! Cats.... cats would do much worse to your homework, but only if you WANTED to turn it in. Pupper's must be correct!! Super image!
lwperkins
Cats are always helping in my family. Lawyer SIL often has cat clerks on Zoom calls :D
Killebrew
Ha ha ha! Love it!
lwperkins
:)) and good to see you, too!

LOL. Nice work
lwperkins
Thank you, uncollared! You would NEVER rip a pillow! :D

Heh. I love the dog's innocent expression. ;-) The beat up couch on the cinder block reminds me of stuff we used for furniture when I was in college. Thanks also for the tip on how to get the dynamic cloth to behave in a picture like this. =)

This big square caftan does pretty well with any poses with just L'homme, but furniture is always tricky for me. It took me a long time to figure out how to scoot a cube in close with just the transform tool in the cloth room-- moving the cube up in there helps a lot, but it's hard to get it lined up with the floor just eyeballing it. And thank you as always! <3

Lovely work!
lwperkins
It was so fun! And thank you!

Delightful composition, excellent simulation and pose, superb outfits and assets, brilliant render.
Reading the dog's face, I think it was the cat, not sure though..😊 Dogs can easily make you melt in an instant, just doing that face.
Magnificent Masterpiece of Finest Arts. I love it!
lwperkins
They can--dogs always looks so sincere, even when they are being naughty :D And thank you as always!

Bodie can unlatch the gate to the patio. I keep a padlock on it most of the time. he can be very sneaky. I keep him out because he will mess up the garden
lwperkins
Bodie is just too smart :D

Having lived with parrots, cats and dogs, I would always blame the darn parrot! They can strip the panelling off your wall. Without the bird... well, the dog could insist on a jury of his peers??
lwperkins
Also Parrots are smart enough to frame the dog :D Thanks for stopping by and the chuckle :)
