I was driven to school in a wood-paneled station wagon! Well, not one this old, but old enough that such a thing still existed. Who ever thought using wood on a car's exterior was a good idea??? It's perfectly fine for 3D vehicles, of course, b/c it does look pretty spiffy, esp. when rendered with such shiny metal!

Nice render and model.
We had a wood-frame vehicle in the UK. It was the Morris Traveler, though here we called them Estate cars.
Aren't language differences fun? :-D

both are outstanding renders. the top is a Pontiac I think and Chevrolet?

for the wood to be replaced is extremely expensive

Nothing like wood when it's properly prepared, be it on a vehicle, boat, a table, or a gunstocks...

Interesting that we once referred to cars of these proportions as station wagons...now their modern versions are simply called SUV's, calling then wagons, just won't be cool enough for today's crowd. :-)

Excellent couple of Woodie's. Such subtle differences but I think I like the further one best. Good work!

You always do such lovely automotive pictures and pinups. I remember as a little girl calling such vehicles "Beaver Cars" because I associated beavers with Wood. It made sense to my tiny little mind at the time... XD
