Description
This one proved interesting for a variety of reasons. I wanted a lot of dynamics. Shadows, things in the background, the vampire taking light only from the window. Much of this came from an HDRI blasting through the windows with an environmental map setting of 4. Then I supplemented with a spotlight just to add a little more control on the face. I opened the door in the background to keep the symmetry of shadows with the pilar, the picture frame, and of course, the corner nearest the window.
The outfit came from here. I wanted it to be clear this this character was wearing heels without drawing all the attention to it. So I went for the DOF where it is. Then made sure she was fit enough for the definition of her stomach to be apparent with the lighting. The final step was ensuring her shirt worked properly, which required a number of simulations and tweaks to get it the way I wanted. This was all setup prior to getting the render going. I then turned to do some post production work.
That involved enhancing the colors. Making the light a little more stark, bringing out the shadows more, and giving it a photograph look. Most of that came from color lookup and levels. A little bit of toning. It's all Photoshop.
