Hi Everyone,
Poser started out as a hobby during a time when I was unemployed. I accidentally ran across a web page that showed pictures of Michael 2. I thought he was adorable and I had to learn more! The great part of this program is that I never stop learning. I've met some absolutely fabulous people through the art communities online, and none moreso than right here at Renderosity!
If you take a peek at my gallery, you'll soon see it's no secret that I like men! ;^) And there aren't that many people doing images of guys, so I'll stick to what I like and know best for the most part.
I want to thank all of the people who inspire and support my artistic visions, and those who also share their own artistic visions! Whether you render and post, or just view and comment, I want you to know that I appreciate each and every one of you.
luv'n'huggz,
'cardo ;^)

Oh yes! You will have all kinds of troubles trying to change colors on the house until you get rid of most of the (let me be sort of delicate here but for me it is the truth) confusing garbage nodes associated with all of these models! I love the models and have used them in many of my images. They are a great looking resource, but they take forever to render until you get rid of the garbage node in the material room.
I have taken the texture files a few times and changed the colors of the siding in an image editor like Photoshop. But there are over 60 unnecessary (in my slightly biased opinion) nodes that show up in the material room. And each house and building has these, and there are so many different texture zones. I'm getting a headache just trying to describe them here. Needless to say, it took me quite awhile to figure out what to do to get the results I wanted. I have to have a very long period of time set out for me before I try to tackle modifying these models textures.
The first thing I found out for myself is when you are in the material room, find the node titled "PoserSurface". Go down to the line in that node that is titled "Alternate_Diffuse" and disconnect it. Then in the far right column, find the button that is titled "Remove Detached Nodes". This will get rid of all the confusing nodes. Then to get the texture file to show up, you have to focus on the node titled "PoserSurface" and in that column, make the 'Diffuse_Color' (which is the first item under the title) white. It if doesn't change for you, switch the tab at the top of the window from 'Advanced' to 'Simple' and change the 'Diffuse_Color' there. You can then switch back to the 'Advanced' tab if you want to make any other changes. This super simplifies the textures for these buildings so if you have any other things missing, you might have to add them one at a time, like displacement maps and such.
I'm afraid I have given you way too much information. I know it took me quite awhile to figure these things out, so I guess I'm not the best person to try and explain how to do it. But I am so glad you are branching out and trying new things, 'cardo! My hat is off to you! I look forward to seeing many many more of your creations in the future!
Your image looks super fine here! Many fine kudos from me!
cheers, my good friend and keep on rendering; radar_rad-dude

Nice scene. Like your POV. Great looking neighborhood. I kind of like the house the way it is.
