Description

The venerable Ford Bronco paused at the impressive gateway into the central manor. Gregor opened an app on his phone and entered a code. The gates silently swung open. "She is oligarch?" Vladlena wondered as they entered the driveway. Her gazed moved over the grounds, a fountain and a huge manor building complex. "Old wealth, little sister. A remnant of gilded age capitalism: Carnegie, Vanderbilt, Morgan, Rockefeller, Van Humbeek; many such families have obscene wealth. Not all are obscene people. Professor Van Humbeek and her sister Dorotea are the last of the Van Humbeeks and are actually very generous as such things go. This estate covers many dozens of square kilometers and includes maybe 20 buildings. The staff is down to the estate manager and security chief, a fellow named Oscar; and his wife, Ella who is cook and personal assistant to the Van Humbeeks. They have other help in to maintain grounds and such as needed under Oscar's management. And, of course, there are the ghosts." Lena punched Gregor's shoulder. "Ghosts? You try to make me laugh and relax. You are best brother ever." She smiled warmly at the stoic man driving. "Oh no. Am of course glad for you to laugh and relax, little sister. But the ghosts are here. I have had personal experience of one. You might meet her someday if all goes well for us." Vladlena snorted. Her brother was known for his stubborn adherence to a prank. Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.757 and tweaked in Photoshop. Vladlena Bubnoff is based upon the wonderful and much neglected mesh Bella 1.2 by Ali and available at his website mankahoo. Her brother Gregor is based upon L'Homme with shape and texture by the ever-so-talented Tempesta3d. They are driving in the 1984 Ford Bronco by ADH3D and arriving at the Rouge Red set by Cristophe3D (formerly Powerage). There is some content by Flink scattered around in there, too. Some materials were used from Vince Bagna's Superfly material resource. #VladlenaB

Oooh, a big, old, haunted house! Good point of view of the grounds and land beyond the brick walls. All the trees adds to the mystery. Good work!

Thank you, Barb. I like building a big set like this and viewing it from a distance and then moving the focus in closer to my characters. It's a technique I admire in motion pictures and when I imitate it sometime it works (as you say here) and sometimes.... not so much! >.<

Thanks, I always enjoy hearing from you!

That's quite a sprawling mansion! And it definitely looks like the place one might find a reclusive professor of considerable means as well as a few ghosts!

If it looks big enough to accommodate ghosts and a wealthy recluse and her family then "Mission Accomplished", as they say! =)

Thanks for leaving a comment, Amy! I always enjoy hearing from you.

Thank you! The lighting is pretty simple but all the content arrangement really took me some time. I really appreciate you validating that. =)

This really turned out fantastic, Molly! I am super impressed with this setting! A most delightful view and an excellent render! Many fine praises from me! Love the 'prank' big brother seems to be pulling on little sister! A most excellent continuation of this fine journey you are taking us on!

Thanks! Of course, the 'prank' is a literal statement of recent history (see the story of Ghostly Grace here . I enjoy the idea of a big brother whose pranks in the past make it hard to know when he's telling the truth. =)

Thank you, Marius. I like to set up a big scene to use and the lighting (bright summer daylight) was easy! XD
