This is a lovely setting for these wonderful fae ladies! Great use of colors!

Thanks so much for the comment! It's been fun dressing up these ladies and then looking for backgrounds that match in style and colors. I know these outfits are considered "old," but this is the first time I've used them, so they're "new" for me! And I think they're beautiful, regardless of their age!

You set up these gals quite nicely. Sweet outfits, hair and poses. Love the fantasy atmosphere.

Thanks for the comment! I've had these outfits for a while, but this is the first time I've actually used them, and I love them!

ein sehr schöner Render

I love the confident, almost aggressive expressions (especially of the fairy on the right). =) There's always a sense of possession (not of each other, but of a relationship) that comes through a successful composition of this sort. You've got that here. It's hard to say where such comes from: pose? Expression? Well done! My favorite in the series so far but that may be as much about my slight discomfort with anthropomorphic animals as with the wonderful qualities of this picture. >.<

Thanks so much, Molly! I'm glad you noticed their expressions. Portraits where V4's face shows no emotion kinda seem eerie to me, so I always try to dial something in, even if I'm not sure where I'm going with it. Her face can be so expressive that it seems a shame not to give her some sense of personality!
The heavy makeup and slight smirk of the woman on the right made my wife say, "oh, she scares me," which prompted me to add a note to the effect that they may look intimidating but are actually quite nice (since I know people like that). But I suppose it's also OK if they're not that nice, b/c at least that's a distinctive personality type!
While I generally prefer a kind of softer, rounder beauty, the main purpose of this series is to make use of my extensive collection of V4 content, and I thought these characters worked well towards that aim. I will be using them again, I'm sure, esp. the green-skinned version of the Green Fairy and the various fae colors of the Elven Realm.

Superb fairy ladies, beautiful setting, I especially like the very elegant dresses.... wonderfully done image !!
perpetualrevision
Thanks so much for the comment! You can really see with them side by side that the dresses were made by the same vendor, who is very talented at making lovely fantasy style dresses! I've had these dresses for a while, but this is the first time I've used them. It won't be the last, though, as they're so pretty!

Wonderful characters. Love their expression.
perpetualrevision
Thanks so much! I'm glad you noticed their expressions, as that's something I always try to add to characters, even in portraits. (Although sometimes it's tricky, like when the figure is Kiki with a character by LittleDesign, b/c the characters make use of expression dials, which then makes it hard to actually dial in expressions.) With V4, there are so many options for expressions that I just start turning dials and see what happens! These kind of confident, slightly snarky expressions seemed to suit the characters :-)

Lovely fairies and I love those two old dresses they are always beautiful & I love the old stuff I guess because I'm old
perpetualrevision
Thanks so much for the comment, fluffykatt! I know the dresses are "old," but I've only had them a few years (I was late to the V4 game), and this is the first time I've used them. They're both beautiful and look great in a larger render like this, so I will be using them again! The main idea behind my "sapphic encounters" series is to feature items from my extensive V4 content collection (in settings that aren't just single person portraits), so you'll probably see some even older items being used as well. Even items whose original textures are now considered low-res can be made "new" again using a universal material pack, like those made by atenais, so they've still got plenty of life left in them (as does V4, obviously!)

wonderful expressions and poses. they seem to be very happy
perpetualrevision
Thanks so much for the comment! Their expressions are meant to be a bit smug, but yes, also happy :-) I love adjusting expression dials on V4's face just to see what happens, as she can be quite expressive!

Awesome work all the way around... lighting, emotion, subtleties in background to for ground. Also the elf and human sisterhood is so erotic.
perpetualrevision
Thanks so much for the comment! I had fun trying to convey some emotion through some fairly subtle expressions in these two characters! I forgot to credit the ground prop, which comes from Sveva's Crystal Rock (with the rock itself made transparent). It has a trans map along the edges that helps it blend into the background image.
Radar_rad-dude
A very fine looking pair! They are a most magical and marvelous duo! Bravo!
MeInOhio
Very nice! Good poses! Has a glorious feel to it!
perpetualrevision
Thanks so much for the comment! I can't take credit for the poses, other than the fact that I chose them for this scene. And unlike the other times I've used pose presets, I hardly had to adjust these at all (mainly the hands). I don't mind doing my own posing, but having pose presets that suit this series has been very useful!
