Description
For several years, Kate and Alice have lived too far away from each other, and their lives drifted apart as a result.
Recently, however, Alice has moved back to Mettleham and re-established her friendship with Kate.
While Alice was away, Kate went and got herself pregnant, having a baby boy nine months later, so here we see Alice and baby Oliver meeting for the very first time.
It is instant love and friendship between them, and Kate is relegated from Oliver's source of everything to being someone who merely brings the refreshments in when it's time to stop playing.
(The two mugs are hot drinks for Kate and Alice; Oliver still occasionally gets breastfed so Kate is always bringing his refreshment with her!)
