Description
Kate's younger sister, Holly, goes straight from a day at St Tibb's High School to her sister's house, not going home to get changed out of her uniform yet.
It is Kate's 33rd birthday today, and Holly has been saving up her pocket-money for several months so that she can afford to buy a hand-made Merino sweater from Mettleham's exclusive clothes store, Brackton's Boutique.
Kate is overjoyed and tries it on, secure in knowing her son, Oliver, is having his afternoon nap so she doesn't have to worry about him spilling things on her sister's wonderful gift.
(But when he wakes up and she brings him down to see Auntie Holly, she has to remove the sweater, changing back into what she was wearing earlier.)
(And Berkeley the Cat is also eyeing the sweater rather suspiciously, too. Be careful, Kate! Claws can severely damage something so nice.)
(Posed and rendered in PoserPro 11, clothes created in Marvelous Designer 9.5, postwork in PSP 2022.)

What a lovely gift from a thoughtful sister! Well, maybe the part about giving such a nice sweater to a sister with a baby and a cat wasn't that thoughtful, but surely Kate can wear it when she's out of the house, with the baby and cat being watched over by someone in more casual clothing!

I'm sure Kate, still being young, will find times and places to wear her birthday present, and wear something with it that is more suitable than a pair of shapeless, grey sweatpants, too!

Nicely done. Very natural scene

Thank you! I always try to depict scenes that could happen in anyone's life. That might sound unexciting but there is a beauty to found in the ordinary, I feel.
