Description
This time landscaping in Blender with GAEA by Dax Pandhi et al..
GAEA ist the most intricate and consuming software for landscaping in Blender, as far as I know.
There is a "Community-Edition" with limitations on resolution and vegetation. It works node-based and has a slow learning-curve. But be warned: You may get lost in its work-flow. On the other hand: There is unsurpassed realism in it! You can see millions of years of thermal erosion mirrored correctly in the render above .
To keep it short: If You intend landscaping in Blender, choose this one and fear nothing, better: Be afraid to the bone!
Next time: Landscaping in Blender original with Geo-Nodes. (God have mercy!)

Blender you say? I thought it was a photograph. Splendidly done!

Thank You for Your friendly comment. The terrain was imported from GAEA as a heightmap, shader and lighting were done in Blender. Most of the impression originated from the later. Unfortunatly, none seems aware that Blender has an valuable outdoor-lighting-system since version 2.79. It is hidden under "World-Background-Color-Sky-texture", whysoever.
