Hi everyone:
I hope you are all doing fine and looking forward to the weekend. I wanted to
post this render of an animation I have been working on. I had planned to release
it along with this render today, but found a few flaws in the animation that I will
have to render over again.
I tried doing the rain effects in post, but the look of it just was not working for me,
so I went ahead and created the rain using 3D particles inside 3ds Max which
gave the atmosphere a much better look to it.
I want to thank everyone for their kindness in leaving me all the wonderful comments
on my last upload...it made my day! You are all awesome! :-)

Hi, nice to see another rendering software :) The scene looks amazing. As a Star Wars fan, I'm excited. Since I'm also interested in the technical side (CPU, GPU render, render time). I particularly like the lighting and the reflections.

Johnny...your comments to me were wonderful, and very supportive; and I appreciate them all. I also appreciate your encouraging me to rest more---I need it, and I'm grateful to have your encouragement. But when I've had the energy the last few days, I've visited a few galleries each day, because I really wanted to (it's a joy). So I'm in your wonderful gallery now, and it's my pleasure to catch up, even though you posted them in July.
Your still image (above) is moody and beautiful. I saw the video, so I know where it comes from...In the still, you have darth near-center, which is a whole other world from the video, where he's way on the left: It makes this a portrait, with that great sun/moon in the background...and we're zeroed-in on the scene; it's more intimate. Love the deep reddish purple, and all that dark. (Darth is only partly visible, which is very moody and expressive.) And that little reflection from the orb---on the ground---is perfect. You're a natural at this, you have to know that. Now onto the video.
