Description
Joel held the horses as Ellie opened the sliding door, leaning into its weight, her face screwed up with exertion. A three day ride to chase another of her fantasies had seemed a fool's errand, but she'd come to him rather than Dina, or Tommy.
And she'd been right.
Another fanciful fan art-asset bash-silliness to mix newly acquired products with veteran staples. Some retexturing, twisting and what-not did the trick, though some of it was wasted effort. In all it came out pretty close to what I'd envisioned, given my limited skills. Couldn't resist the polished cowl on the Sopwith, though such a finish would be distracting in flight and difficult to maintain, particularly twenty years after 'the outbreak'.
Setting up these post apocalyptical adventuring scenes reminds me (and anyone else with similar interests) of the scarcity of available survival or field items like shoulder portage, horse gear, blankets, saddlebags, and weapon loadouts. I suppose it's understandable, given the rather limited market for such things, but still...
This one took awhile to set up, but rendered in a half hour. Might do a sequel or two while it's in cache....

A fantastic looking western scene and a very good story, but where is the ugly one????
jdwtrxk
LOL Ute, hiding behind the Albatros D.V behind the door. He'll show up, eventually :)

Down right awesome!

Thanks eekdog - was a lot of fun. Nothing like throwing random possibilities into a dramatic setting.

very imaginative story and superb composition
jdwtrxk
Thanks Richard - had a full prose scene written for this and it timed out before I posted...

I always appreciate an imaginative story and I like the realistic feeling of the lighting in the image. I feel your pain about good content for post-apocalyptic and other scenarios. The vast majority of content is ridiculously fetishy clothing for women of amazing proportions. >.< That being said, you did a wonderful job with content selection and use here. I love that biplane (is it Dryjack's?).

Thanks Molly - thin it is. You'd expressed an interest in it before. A little texture tweaking and it's quite convincing. Don't miss the Albatros behind the door. There's a few more scenes in this little set - one with prose and one not (a story in itself). You'd prefer the prose :)
