Description
Work in Progress 'The Twist Dance Video' Part 1 of 3
Would have had this up earlier, but the uploader no longer accepts m4v extensions, only mp4. Oh well. This is raw, and only rendered at 30 sec per frame
Known issues:
Fireflies (Render Time)
Foot float - X Y Z issues
Jump and turn timing
Model isn't blinking properly (at all)
Wrong shoes - Happy accident I like them better and have to redo P I and II anyway
I changed hair length to speed up the process of editing
2260 frames - a little more than 1/3
Can't post music with this here, but there is enough video here to get the feel if you have your own version of Chubby Checker's The Twist

She can sure boogie! Cool motions. ❤👍

Thank You, Thank You. Back in the day, 'The Twist' was royalty free for non-commercial. One of the reasons I picked that song. Much better with sound. The more I watch it, the more I see I need to do. Pressing forward.

She REALLY likes to dance! I loved the step-turn-step-turn sequence. It is coming along nicely.

Thank you. She does, and I did too when I was younger. Her moves make much more sense with the lyrics and sound. I extended the first part to include the step turn sequence since it translates better sans music,

Thank you, Richard. It’s a re-learning process, and I’m posting the good and bad of the process.

You are doing great in this WIP animation. Its looking good, I would just like to offer you two tips to improve the work you are doing...I don't usually like to give advice when none is asked for but nevertheless I feel good that it won't be taken the wrong way...here are some tips my friend!
2.Use more than one camera if possible. Its often very difficult to do an animation with just one camera. I would recommend at least 2 more for the dance animation you are doing. Shooting the animation from different points of view will give you more options when it comes time to assemble your video in the editing application. You will most likely end up with the same amount of frames as a single camera animation, they will just be taken from different POV's. It will also allow you the freedom to highlight the areas which you want to focus on, such as the face , upper body or lower body or different areas of the room.
Best of luck in your follow up animations and thank you so much for your awesome comment in my gallery! :-)

Johnny,
Thank You for your comment, advice and time. I spent several hours watching your dance video; counting, timing and taking notes on your transitions. Its brilliant work.
Software——GRRRR!! None of my XP or Win 7 editing programs worked with Win 11, and the new one is a learning curve; Took me 15 min to find undo. It is already getting easier.
Although I do have 3 other camera angles ‘in the can,’. I have much work and learning to do with my transitions which I’ll describe as raggedy.. All of that has to be re-done because I kept changing clothes and hair on my model. Not a problem; just time.
Honestly, I got ahead of myself in posting any of this, but I have satisfied myself in the worthiness of the project, and I will keep moving ahead.
As much as most artists love kudos, I prefer critique, Yours is kind, valuable and inspirational. I truly thank you. If you are open to answering an occasional question via site mail, let me know.
