Description

We've been almost Full-Time camping in the travel trailer since Jan 2020, and you expect the unexpected. However, when you look up from your tablet and see this critter 3 inches from your face, you jump back until you find out its innocent enough.

Wow...I never personally seen one of these small critters before! How big is your camping buddy? :-)

About 2-1/2 inches long and 2 in wide. Seemed much larger when I first saw it. It’s just a garden/grass spider - no issues. I also had not seen one before

That would scare the living crap out of me if I saw it heading my way. Cool toy.

It was the color that startled me. A quick check on google after walking 5 steps back put me at ease. The jumping tarantula last year still gives me the creeps. At least that one was not right next to me

Wow! From you photo, this one does look huge! At first I thought is might be a robot drone! Excellent photo and story! Bravo!

When you put your eyes 3 inches from a 2-1/2 in object, It seems pretty huge.

Thanks, Richard. It makes more sense for them to survive there. There are more natural yellows in the landscape.
