Doesn't matter where a person may be, or what they may be wearing, or why they are there. A person has the right to defend themselves by whichever means they think practical and are confident. If a person can run or hide to protect oneself, then that is defending oneself. However, if a person finds these first options unpractical or impossible to use, then a last option should be available. That being to fight back. Despite the year, social climate, or level of technology situations arise in which a person may need to defend themselves. While the chances may be so low they are hardly worth considering they are never completely zero. The police or other assistance may be plentiful, but this does not mean they will be able to intercede in time. In those moments it is far better to have three options rather than two. For a persons life cannot be replaced if taken. (Artist note- I am not suggesting that everyone have and keep a firearm, or that a firearm will guarantee ones safety or that of loved ones. But rather there are people that are angry, desperate, and or opportunistic enough to take what they believe ought be theirs from whoever is nearby. I am only attempting to respectfully remind my fellow humans of their right to protect themselves and to not be, or become a victim by the hand or actions of another.
