Description
From the desert oases of Arabia to the boreal forests of the Baltic...
Medeina, the ruler of forests, trees and animals in Lithuanian mythology. Her sacred animal is considered the hare, but she is often depicted as a young woman with an escort of wolves. She is sometimes ascribed both divine and demonic traits, as her duty of protecting the forest can bring her into conflict with hunters - who generally come out second best!
I made several variants while developing this scene, inching closer to what I had in my mind's eye... unfortunately the LAMH catalyser (for the wolves) constantly crashing my rig means this is as far as I managed to develop it before tearing all my hair out (maybe i should use the catalyser on myself?); anyway the wolves turned out suitably furry!.

I continue to follow with great interest your gallery of portraits of nature protectors. It emanates from your characters a lot of strength and beauty magnified by the light. Here the rays of the sun filtered by some mist transform the uniformity of the foliage into a mosaic of variations which echoes the texture of the garment. The semi-nudity of the body as well as the hair floating in the wind lets me imagine that it is the same cells that make this universe a great whole. I also like the idea that only wolves understand the stakes of this shared moment. The mystery and what remains secret to the understanding of men contributes to the fascination of this image. Finally, constraints or technical problems we all encounter, these obstacles are nothing as long as we save the magic of the image. This is the case here.

Thank you for your always thoughtful and perceptive comments which add so much to the original vision.

A pity about the crashes, but it turned out well what you've done here. Lovely to have wolves as friends :)

Thanks :) Despite the frustration and much late night gnashing of teeth, I'm pleased i persisted with the catalyser, the wolves look so much better with the thick fur.
goldie
This turned out nicely...love those wolves :)

Thanks Goldie - AM's wolf from DAZ. Its a great model, as are all of his, but with LAMH, I will need not to put too many in the same scene in future! (well not till i upgrade my GPU, whenever that might be)

Fantastic image!
Wolfenshire
Any scene with wolves in it is a perfect scene.

If you don't mind, I prefer the company of...say cats or ladybirds !!! Marvelous image in spite of your problems. Where LAMH catalizer is concerned, I'd say it's not totally reliable ; I too had problems when using it.

Wolves actually all obey the law, otherwise they are very intelligent beings and most reliable friends.
Fabulous awesome composition, mesmerizing environment and lighting, brilliant render.
Magnificent Masterpiece of Finest Arts. I love it!

This is absolutely magnificent, Joe! The wolves look great - so don't tear anymore hair out, or you'll look like me LOL!
The lighting is spectacular! Awesome work!

Have no idea about catalyzer... I'm thinking it's a DAZ Studio plug in or something. As for the picture, it's really compelling. I like the mystical sense that the "God Rays" in the background give the whole composition and the wolves in the foreground are excellent. Although the middle wolf is focused on the ground ahead, the other two seem to be interacting with Medeina. You've got another excellent image here that I've really enjoyed viewing!
