Hide yourselves ! ordered Marina. - What is going on ? asked Delphine, whispering and leaning against the big rock next to her. - Jotnar. - Jotnar ? - Giants." responded Marina. Giants were the main reason why even the smallest villages of Hvittland were protected by walls. Rare during the warmest days of the year, they were coming from the north during winter to search for food. They were usually going for cattle, raised by Humans, but when there were none, these same Humans were a very good alternative. Marina knew how dangerous a "Jotun" could be. When she was a young warrior, still living in Húsjaðriáin, she had fought one of them with a groupe of warriors of her village. The fight had been furious. Two of her fellow warriors died and another one ended up crippled for life. Sigrid was there too during this battle. The two sisters exchanged a look. They were thinking the same thing. " Be all quiet. If they spot us, they will attack us. Minalva, make sure Mumule makes no noise." added Marina. Even if she knew that with Delphine in there rank they were not really in danger, it was best to avoid the confrontation. Her Elf friend noded and spoke quietly to the animal. Mumule could smell the presence of the Giants and was nervous. But the apaising words of Minalva kept him quiet. Delphine, who only heard and saw engraving of Giants in books, would have loved to see how they looked like with her own eyes, but she had to refraine her curiosity. They waited around ten minutes, behind the shelter of the rocks, that the Giants left far enough, to leave. Then, still on their guard, they resumed their journey to find the Orcs. ____________________________________________ " Vite ! ____________________________________________ Here it is, the new storyline picture ! ^^ This render was ready for around two weeks, but I was very busy last week and this week I worked on other things. So I have finished to write the text only yesterday night. So, I wanted to make this scene to introduce the race of the Giants that I have mentioned before, in a way earlier picture (I won't blame you if you don't remember it). Giants (or Jotun or Jotnar in plural) are more than 5 meters tall, are very strong and pretty brutal and violent. They are not completely stupid, but they aren't very intelligent either. Here they have a pink skin, but I wonder if I will not change their skin tone, to make them look less like human. Maybe something bluish ? I don't know, I'll do some tests. ^^ Anyway, hope you enjoyed the picture and the text. Next time we will finally meet the Orcs ! But it might take some time, because I have a lot of set up to do and a lot of new characters to create. Not necessarily for the very next scene, but they will be needed for the next ones.
