Description
Just few volumetric lighting tests - a Poser 12 Superfly test render.😊💖🥰
I'm still working and testing some true volumetric light scattering with different implementations.
They are actually important to me for better lighting the wet skin and wet clothes. They will also help for realistic skins.
Light is very important and the render settings matters a lot as well.
No postwork, never ever.

It doesn't look like much but first image is quite difficult lighting. The farther strong light from the HDR goes through the ceiling - the ceiling has very narrow slits from design - that light scatters through the volumetric atmosphere and that's the only reason the girl has shadows on the ground. There are no hidden lights. I built the volumetric atmosphere with tiny particles that scatter/reflect light, thus the noise in the lower quality images for testing. Also lights from the terrace poles scatter light and it looks quite nice to me.😊💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

We've recovered from a nasty covid, it took 3 hours to get taste and smell back but 12 hours to get rid of that crappy eyes and head aches. I haven't been so ill in the last 4 decades. Even doing fine without headaches and stuff, it takes a lot to recover from the fatigue, for sure it was a lot of discomfort. Thanks God we are doing fine now.😊💖💖💖💖💖🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

It's always a hard work with these volumetrics, but you did it greatly!
mifdesign
Thank you very much for the generous words, my dear friend.😊💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
These volumetrics are achieved through atmosphere particles that scatter light and having that scattering with only the HDR lighting is a separate subject. You may have a peek at "Without you" and there are side to side compared, with and without atmosphere. Without atmo scattering, when rotating the scene, light goes pretty unrealistic and not allowing light to come from it's true source. I'm sure you have met this problem as well.

It's very interesting to compare the different images, my friend. I think the lighting through the windows of 'the swimming pool' is a nice and warm light.

I don't know anything about 3D, superfly, volumetric lighting tests, etc. I'm from 2D and photography, so I can't appreciate what you do with those things, unfortunately, the way your 3D fans can. But I can respond to the art itself: I love your distant angle on the diver, and the city in the background, with that blast of light on the left. You're getting wonderful variations on a theme here.
And in the second image---esp in the denoised version---you have a very moody, foggy interior that feels like a deep foggy forest. Beautiful hazy light. And a sense of being lost in an abyss of peaceful solitude. Beautiful work here, And these should be seen full size!
