Description

This is a barn; the park near my home. I'm sorry I've been gone so long. I was exposed to covid, got a wallop of a flu---not covid, but a knockout still. I was sick for over a month. Then I had several back problems that laid me up for some time. I'm getting better, but need more time. At 73, one doesn't heal quickly. I've really required rest. But I want you all to know that I've seen everything, and I'll leave a few comments in the coming days, to re-connect with all you wonderful people. (I can't comment on everything---that would be impossible for me now; but I'll leave a couple of comments for each of you so you know how much I've missed you all.) And------I won't forget birthdays (or big events): I won't be able to do elaborate pieces, but I won't forget you! I hope you're all well, and enjoying the beautiful fall. I've missed you all, and hope you're all weathering these crazy times. Thanks so much for your loving wishes over these weeks: They've meant the world to me. I'll be in your galleries soon...lots of hugs, inspiration and health to you all! Mark (all 3 photos taken in the last decade) (chicago) ------------------

I am so happy to hear you are feeling better now Mark...its nice to have you back on this site! I got hit with covid at the beginning of this year and it was no fun being sick, so I fully understand how someone can be sidelined with this illness. I will look forward to viewing more of your amazing abstract work and beautiful photographs in the coming months, till then...take care of yourself and be well my friend! :-)

God, this is a gorgeous photo, Mark! Seriously... How do you do it? "OK, tree on the right, move a little bit towards the barn... Tree to the left, move just a tad to the left so we can see the door and light on the barn. There - that's perfect! OK, hold still..." 😂

Man... Sounds like you had one hellofa go-round with those nasty little viruses! Just glad you were able to side-step Covid. We've managed to duck it, but still wear masks when we're out most of the time. Trust me, I know all about that 73 thing (almost 74... Gah! Where did all those years go? I didn't tell them they could leave...) There's one birthday coming up I wish I could forget! LOL

You've been missed deeply as well, Mark! Hope those snarky little virus buggers leave you alone and go find someone else to mess with. I can think of a couple good prospects for them now.... T and P, maybe?

Stay healthy, buddy! Get plenty of rest, drink plenty of water, and Dr. Rod wishes you a rapid recovery! 😉😁

this barn photo is wonderful. all the reds with the small touches of white really makes for an exciting autumn photo. all the straight lines of the fences, windows, and doors make a nice contrast to the beautiful chaos of the leaves and there are SO many leaves! a beautiful shot, indeed.

I hope you continue to improve. it was nice to see you post and make comments (thanks for the comments) take care and don't over-do too soon, please. ((hugs))

marvelous photo Mark. I am 78. I went to my 60th high school reunion recently and seen people that I had not seen for more than 60 years. it was my first time and my last. I recognized some names, but faces were another thing.

I sincerely hope that you recover quickly. D-3 is very good according to my doctor. I have been taking it for a long time

Covid took my 50 year old son out and into the hospital for oxygen for 2-3 days. He is recovered now
