Description

a windy scene on the lake...a little postwork...a spooky day; and believe me this lake can get way spooky... Thank you all for your wonderful encouragement and kind words...and for being ok with my slow commenting. I'm commenting, just a bit at a time. (I love doing it, so I figure some comments here and there are probably good for me.) I greatly appreciate your thoughts. I hope you're having a beautiful October. I wish you all a great new week. Take care, and thanks as always for stopping by my side of the world! m (the spray from the lake on days like the above is frigid and bracing; you feel pulled in, but you don't wanna go there: Lake Michigan is brutal in the cold, and massive ships have been eaten up during wind storms) (good material for a tale...) ------------------

It looks pretty cool for autumn. (I don't like very much autumn and winter..)
Amazing capture, postwork make it even vibrant and more beautiful.

You've started a wonderful Michigan Lake tale.😊💖🥰

even with the brightness, the choppy water looks frigid and even a bit dangerous. the sturdy, dark tree is a wonderful stark contrast to the motion of the bright water. that pier looks inviting but I would probably get blown off. lol! ... lots of your images are good material for tales; the light and colors are always so eye-catching.

I do like how you've manipulated this capture, Mark. It lends a most foreboding atmosphere to the scene. Your Lake Michigan is an often menacing creature. That is one tough, sturdy tree.

Many thanks for your comments--I truly appreciate them :) Hope you are felling better, stronger with each passing day.

Oh, this is so filled with moodyness, it's almost like being there, experiencing this inland sea. I can almost hear the wind and feel the chill of the spray. A really wonderfully moody shot here, Mark. I love it! It's interesting how it has a feeling of calm and peace with the tree, and just behind it, the opposite feel of conflict with the rough water, and spray. Brilliant photography, buddy.

Beautiful capture Mark. The tree in the foreground gives the photo a nice frame.

I love the negative space tree contrasting with the warm oranges of the water land and sky!
